Kore wo yonde (i) te kudasai. Please read this for a while (until I get back).

Matte (i) te kudasai. Please wait for a while/continuing waiting (until I get back).

Mite (i) te kudasai. Keep looking/keep your eye on it.
Kiite (i) te kudasai. Keep listening.


Is the gerand form for "te" as "keep on doing" in English what you were talking about (+ auxiliary (kudasai))?
