Hello again,
1. The speaker is moving to another town, and her friend has just asked her to keep in touch.
I don't understand the middle sentence. As a stab in the dark, I wondered if it meant something like "I feel a little better when we talk"?
My translation: "At first I didn't know Japanese, so I was a nuisance to everyone - especially to Mr Tanaka's assistant who found an apartment for me and went shopping with me."
Is this correct? I am not very confident about the second sentence.
アシスタントの田中さん seems the "wrong way round". If わたしの家, for example, means "my house", then why wouldn't アシスタントの田中さん mean "(the) assistant's Mr Tanaka" (which seems nonsensical)? I seem to have got in a muddle about this simple grammar.
3. Two people are arranging to meet at a restaurant.
My translation: "Oh, you don't know the place? OK, I'll draw a map."
What is the meaning of から here? Is it just a semi-meaningless filler to round off the sentence?
My translation: "I have to get up early tomorrow morning, so ..."
... then something about sleeping tonight, but what does もう mean here?
