The End of Death Note!!!! (contains spoilers)

I like Death note so so much it's an awosme anime ... and like the movies too ,, = )
But the ending is shocked me ... i didn't expect that the shingami will write Light's name in the death not ... i'm very happy when he died .. ^^
But I Cried when L died .. he was my fav character ... T__T

I think Ryuk told yagami in the beginning that he would be the one write his name and that people using the note usually had an unhappy end.
Yeah. In some ways I was on Yagami's side all along although I disliked his attitude and character. A spoiled brat with a god complex. (I liked Ryuk though!)
Well.. He had it comming. You can't be one step ahead all the time. Eventually you will make a mistake.
Although revealing his identity in such a way in the end was stupid. He made the assumption that he had won too soon. There might have been a chance to buy some time with denial had he not..

Exactly. So L should've been the main character.

The series should've ended when L died.
I AGREE!

the rest of death note was...a bit NON japanese style, i think.

and i'm weak i cried when ryuzaki died. i couldnt believe it! i was watching DN till the end just to got know he's alive or something. i was hoping for a miracle :D and i cried because of misa... but that was DN makers intention. to make ppl cry.

hahah and the most funniest moment:
the end of yagami-kun. it's supposed to be dramatic though 😄 [totally insane yagami trying to write with his blood and teru's screaming "kami!" i like teru]

I did prefer the films ending to the manga's ending. It didn't make sense to me that L would be defeated by Kira. Even though, all the way through it, L is built up as a child prodegy and a mastermind that can do no wrong. I thought the films ending was more suited to the character of L than the manga, which is weird considering Tsugumi Ohba didn't write the script for the films.

Anyway, has anybody seen the L film (L: Change the World)? What did people think of this as insight into the character of L? Did it conform to how you see him in the manga?
(Please relate it to the manga if possible... I don't want to be shouted at for drifting off topic here)
