Uploading Photos to Gallery

Yesterday I was uploading photos and then, after about four photos, I couldn't upload anymore photos as it was not taking me to the edit page.

For example, even today when I attempt to upload some photos and I click "submit photo" it seems like it is uploading the photo and then says, "Photo uploaded successfully" and immediately takes me to the gallery of photos and not the edit page as it usually does. If I click on "recent photos, 1 day" there is nothing listed for my uploaded photo as it usually tells me it is waiting for approval when I upload new photos.

Where are these photos going and what is happening here? Thanks in advance.

You can tell from your photo number count if they went through correctly or not. If your photo number count goes up when the upload is done, then the photo is in, subject to approval. If you upload a photo and your count doesn't change, then it didn't.

I forgot that you don't have enough uploaded photos to be on the main page's list. Another way to check, go to the section that you uploaded (like Shibuya, for instance) and see if there is a photo under your name but the photo space has the blurb about being subject to approval. That'll tell you if the upload "took."

The uploader has had a few bugs of late, so some will go through okay and others won't.

The Twilight Zone of uploaded photos.

I was having trouble directly uploading photos a couple of weeks ago, then I tried a different route. First, I put them in my Photobucket site and then input the photos' links in JREF's uploader and it worked. You may want to consider trying that (although the size of each photo is reduced).

Sorry to hear about the troubles. Did you upload in batches or pic by pic?

I tried again today with no luck. Same thing happens as listed above. I upload my pics as I have done in the past, one by one from my computer.

Am I doing something different?

It worked for me just fine yesterday. Are you on dial-up, DSL or Wi-Fi? I used Wi-Fi last night.

I am on cable modem. What gets me is that I had no problem with the first photos and now I can't seem to upload a single one. Something must be affecting this, but what I cannot fathom.

They've had a few bugs in the system over the past few weeks, so it could still be a problem with the server or, another possibility, it could be the type of photo files you have your photos in. They specify what are acceptable files (jpg,jpeg,png,gif,mpeg,mpg,avi,asf,wmv,mov,amc). Maybe yours are in a different format?

Thanks ArmandV. All my photos are jpeg format as are the ones I uploaded. My pop-up blocker is off and nothing seems to be different from a few days ago. Hopefully it's a bug in the system as I have many photos to upload as well as wmv. movies.

Also problems here, it said that the upload was done and even showed the pics before the final Ok, but then it only had the remark, that its still and still: Image Pending Approval, but when you move over that place, it shows the correct title of the uploaded foto. . .
The file is correct and as I said, they even showed the foto before the final, strange.

That's the way it is supposed to work, as all uploaded picture need to be approved prior to being displayed.

I uploaded something for the China galleries and forgot one t. . .
If not, is it possible, that someone of the team changes the text of "Moongate to he sea" into a correct "Moongate to the sea" ?

You can do it yourself. Go where it says (below the photo) Admin Options and there's an editing button. You can change the text, but the photo will disappear (subject to re-approval) until the admin. can change it.

Click onto your photo and scroll down the page.

I do, but there is nothing alike in the China gallery-section! It simply looks slightly different there. Otherwise I would have done already.
In the other one there is, but my mistake was made under a chinese pic and that can't be edited. . .

Well I still have no luck uploading photos from my computer anymore as it still takes me to the main page after it says my photo was "successfully uploaded".

I tested uploading photos from "Flikr" and "Photo bucket" and had no problem, so I guess I will be using one of those services for the time being until this gets worked out or someone can explain why I can longer upload from my computer.
