I bought a 24 ft Winnebago last month in Osaka. I love it! It was my dream to buy one after 20 yrs living here. I went to Izu last weekend to Shirahama and it felt great. It's a little big for the roads, but well worth it for the comfort. It has 3 beds, 4 burner stove, microwave, refridge and freezer, toilet and hot shower.

Does anyone else have a camper here in Japan? I'm looking for someone to enjoy camping with me whether you have your own camper, you camp in a tent, or with me in my camper.
Also looking for regulations on camping along roadsides, rivers etc.
Any recommendations on where to camp?

Seeing a 24 ft. Winnebago in Japan must be an interesting sight. Congratulations on your purchase. I think I've seen one or two campers in Japan. I was out camping with a group I belong to last weekend in Amboy, CA and some 5th wheel trailers that came in looked like converted cruise ships, they were so huge.

Yeah, it is noticeable here. I see the small ones alot, but seeing an american one is nice to see. Now i own one. Tough to drive on the mountain roads though. Still looking for people to camp with.
