Best Airline To Japan?

I haven't had any expriences on international carriers, though I'll fly ANA this summer. But everyone I know from Asia all rave about Singapore Airlines... hahaha, and they mention the stewardesses a lot (yes, SA looks specifically for WOMEN ONLY and looks definitely count).

You should use the term "flight attendants", other wise you might get attacked by some femmenists. (hehe, wait, no seriously)

Anyways, I've only ever used China Airlines, but if you're a real tourist, you wouldn't care how you get there as long as you get there. But China Air's okay? They had TV screens behind each seat, even economy.

last year, from Europe, we flew to Japan with Austrian Airlines, excellent service, decent food.

How many hours does it take to fly to Japan from Austria (or wherever you're from)?

I am from Belgium (Antwerp), and it is a 2 hour flight from Brussels to Vienna, and from Vienna to Tokyo about 11 hours

That's about the same from Los Angeles to Tokyo: 11 hours.

I tend to go with whatever's cheapest. The first time was Northwest. The last time (November) was American (with JAL handling the Tokyo-to-Osaka leg). When I go back in a couple of weeks it'll be United.

Air fares going up, up, up!

I was perusing today's Travel section in the Los Angeles Times and noticed the following airlines have $980.00 round-trip fares from Los Angeles to Tokyo:

ANA, EVA, JAL, Korean, Singapore, Thai and United.

Two months ago, my round-trip air fare was $765 (including tax). It appears that fares to Japan are skyrocketing.

I asked my friend to look up airfare to tokyo incase i go. she found round trip from texas to tokyo in july for $599...i'll try to find out what website.

It always goes way up during high seasons, July-October, New Years, Golden Week, etc. I'll have to go again in mid-late August so I'm hoping things will be a bit more reasonable by then...😌

It cost me $1,100 today from Okinawa to the East Coast. If I could wait until October it would have cost me $800 round trip!

But that's not too bad considering I bought the ticket today and will be leaving on Thursday!
