Gentlemen,

Our native asset in the jungle had told us that they accidentally found a Japanese WW2 soldier mass grave with hundreds of skeletons and miloitary artifacts (dogtags, samurai, helmets, etc)...
The jungle area is very far...it would take several hiking days...
If our team will sent an exploration team and try to document these Japanese WW2 War heroes skeletons ( I assumed they never surrender their camp)...
1) Do you think the japanese gov't will gave us some sort of reward as consolation for our efforts?...or the relatives will gave us some reward?

bcoz I've heard that in 1990's somewhere in Mindanao a japanese skeleton with dogtag and samurai was returned to japan when the dogtag was traced to its relatives. The Japanese gov't gave the pointer 5 working visas...and the rich relatives who owned several companies...give also monetary reward...

2) We are just poor explorers...do you think its possible we will be given reward if these dogtags will be traced?...
3) What Japanese gov't agency shall I contact to show these discovery?

Obeika,

I browse thru Japanese Embassy in Phillipines website and I noticed there are NO email address wherein I wanted to ask some questions...like

1) How to handle and document the skeletals remains properly, bcoz we may rearrange the dogtags from the orig skeletal remains...etc...(remember we are treasure hunters/explorers not forensic / archeology experts).

2) How to pray while inside Japanese skeletals caves/tunnels (our guides before was disturb by ghostly marching platoon and moaning sound, and definitely my collegues will not work or will scamper away if we will be bothered by such ghostly apparrations or disturbances...thats why we need to know Japanese prayers or rituals first before we will enter cave/tunnel)

3) Once we found the dogtags...how can we traced it to the owner and its relartives...is there any Japanese ww2 websites wherein we just type the serial numbers of dogtags and found its owner or relatives?

All you have to do is call and ask, they should have someone there available to point you in the right direction. Plus there is an email address at the bottom of the link I gave you, send you info to them.

The best way to handle the skeletal remains is to not handle them at all. You need someone with archaeological training. Contact the embassy to report your findings before touching anything.

Nice gaijin,

The japan embassy here need proof of Japanese grave yard existence...so we have to take pictures, video and get some artifacts samples...dogtags, samurai, helmets...etc...meaning we have no choice but to touch these graveyard (although am sure its yacky !!)..

Based on our experience, Japan Embassy in Manila doesn't believe easily on stories or pictures...they need solid proof. In 1992, while looking for treasure sites in Mindanao, our team accidentally found in hinterland jungle, 2 japanese stragglers....a certain Col. Ito (with a beautiful japanese tatto on his back) and Capt. Kimata, a native chieftain already...

At first look, the 80+ yrs. old man...Col. Ito, look like ordinary old native with loincloth but we notice the difference bcoz of his fair complexion facial features and he always bring his samaurai instead of the usual jungle bolo...when the old man take a bath we notice a beautiful japanese tattoo on the back of his right shoulder...thats why we suspect he is a japanese staggler. And later confirmed by local natives...the old man is still very strict and snubbish...he still act like an military officer...

On a nearby mountainside we found a native old chieftain but according to him he is Capt. Kimata..he confirmed he is a japanese straggler but married to native Bilaan trive had children and grandchildren already. He told us he wanted to go back to japan only if his sister is alive...it his sister is already dead japan, he won't go there anymore bcoz he had family here.

We tried to contact japan embassy regarding our finds...THEY DID NOT BELIEVE US, instead they wanted us to produce video photage and military artifacts...since we no longer have logistics, vidoe eqp't to go back to the jungle...we were not able to follow the japanese straggler....today, we don't know if they are still alive...that was our sad experience with japan embassy in manila...instead of helping us...they wanted us to document it first at our own expense...thats why we are reluctant to aproach them...they may not believe us easily...

Gboy drama continues

Stop trying to extort money from the Japanese. You have posted on other internet forums that you will only sell the information, and you demand compensation.

Your story also changes, depending on what forum you post on.

Get a real job, and stop using the internet to beg for investors to these scams.

Purely out of curiosity here, if the Japanese Embassy didn't believe you how do you plan on getting people here in Japan, or on this forum, to believe in your story?

Ex-Japanese soldier died, fighting for Indonesian independence
Hideo Fujiyama, ex-Japanese soldier, died at the age of 85 in Jakarta.
After WWII, as many as 1000 Japanese stayed in Indonesia and fought against the Dutch.
After the independence, he married a local woman. The funeral ceremony is conducted in the Indonesian national cemetery on June 13.

This is another ex-Japanese soldier story.

It is a bit unfortunate that Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is cautious on a concession hunter. The news, "ex-Japanese soldier is found!!!", is the good example.

Why not alert the Phillipines government, surely they can document your identities (you explorers), and once they've been able to contact the Japanese government the whole thing will be expedited. Cold-calling the Japanese government and saying you've found WW2 remains probably won't get you anywhere.

Jim USA,
" Stop trying to extort money from the Japanese. You have posted on other internet forums that you will only sell the information, and you demand compensation."

Am not extorting money from a Japanese...its the other way around...a Japanese national namely Mr. Sato is urging us to accompany him to Japanese graveyard and give him several dogtag samples...thats why we became suspicious that he may make money out of it if he traced the relatives of the Japanese or the gov't.
Thats why am asking here if there is some sort of reward...bcoz if it had, we will claim it as discoverer of these japanese cave graveyard...instead of a Japanese Mr. Sato (his investment is only saliva) while our investment...are borrowed money to explored the graveyard in the jungle, tired bodies and time....as simple as that.
We need to recoup our exploration expenses (borrowed money)...bcoz if it doesn't have reward for explorers who spend borrowed money, time and effort in the jungle....its would be useless for us to bring these skeletons/bones to Japan, let them decay and be forgotten forever, besides they are the aggressor anyway to Filipinos...

Obeika,
" Purely out of curiosity here, if the Japanese Embassy didn't believe you how do you plan on getting people here in Japan, or on this forum, to believe in your story? "
Our plan is to produce our own budget to explore the site and get some artifacts and bones. If people still never believe us and doesn't give sentimental value to it...We would not care...its useless bones/skeletons of Japanese soldiers anyway, we can throw it to the garbage...as simple as that.

Now I know that it seems NOBODY cares anyway...we might as well, NOT give attention to that Japanese graveyard...lets those 100+ japanese skeletons be forgotten forever....and we don't give a da_ _ anymore...END OF STORY...

I will assume for a moment that it is not a simple scam... that what you found is real.

Contact some Filipino Academic/Historian that you trust, someone really versed in the history of Japanese occupation of Phillipines... if you have the dogtags you say, surely they will be traced to an especific military unit, ... from there, there could be more research... I am sure that you could find the names of the main officers commanding, then the names of all the soldiers that served in that unit. I guess it is a work for a person that knows where to look... and that probably could contact people with the authority to do some things.

My idea is that you try to find help inside Phillipines first.

As I said, I assume this is not a scam.

Regards.

Gboy's New Scam - Red Alert

Gboy has moved on from trying to sell the bodies of dead Japanese Soldiers.
His new scam involves printing fliers in Japanese, and when the 80-year old Japanese Sentinel comes out of the jungle, he will kidnap him, and force him to lead Gboy to the loot.

Submitted is a short copy/paste of Gboy's devious plan, from the TreasureNet website/message board:

"SUSPECTED JAPANESE STRAGGLER MONITORED
Anyway, our team had monitored a hermit man...suspected to be a Japanese straggler, according to our assets these hermit man...had a Japanese or light skinned features in contrast to brown skinned filipinos...
He was spotted only twice by our native asset near our suspected treasure cave area...however the old hermit man was so elusive and doesn't want to mingle to anybody else. Thats why we wanted to talk to him...however if he will still elude us,
WE WILL TRAP HIM BY GIVING SOME BAIT....oooppss...of course we are baiting a man not a wild boar....and our bait?....several LEAFLETS to be scattered with Japanese character or messages to convince him to return to japan (and give us his treasure hoard )
....our only problem, WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WRITE MESSAGES IN JAPANESE CHARACTERS."

Having read this thread I have only one observation to make. Internet Scams are rife, we all know about them and have no doubt come across them. Even my own daughter who uses this site has been sent e-mails direct to her private e-mail account and they are pure scams!!!!

As for the bodies of the dead, I have always been taught one thing, Leave them to rest in peace.

Forget the skelleton Gboy, just look for the box of gold, and give some share to charity.
I am treasure hunter also so i know and i feel what Gboy has, but of course no body is perfect why you peple keep on dumping on him, he is alone here, why don't we just share good idea about the threads.

Cool every body!!!!!
