Vice magazine has an article about a service which you can pay for, to have sex apparently with love-dolls...

The Vice Guide To Travel

TOKYO LOVE DOLLS!
Before we got the chance to go over to Japan and meet some love dolls up close and personal for ourselves, a passionate fan of them wrote an article for Vice magazine about his, um, girlfriend. Check it out here, and enjoy VBS's Tokyo holiday today in this new installment of our travel series.

Offered for curiosity's sake... may contain language or content not suitable for minors, but what I viewed wasn't anything worse than a pg-13 movie.

Sad, but........?

I wonder if I could hide it where my wife wouldn't find it, LOL.

Uncle Frank

😊

Haha, I am so amused that my college browser actually let me look at this thing.
Uncle Frank: Couldn't you use the old, "It belongs to a friend!" excuse on your wife? She might fall for it. :giggle:

i

hehe lol but the guy with the doll im so sorry but he is really desperate:eek: , man its plastic and it has a skin like an E.T.☝ It's funny to read his comment on his page about his Nana. lol here where i come from people will think your nuts.:p But again its a fact japanese girls are lovely👍 (Real ones ofcourse :d) and Uncle Frank say to your wife that its a new neighbourgh and your showing her your house (the only problem is you have to do her voice:giggle:)

hehe lol but[...]
In fact, there are many people who have "relationships" with dolls, mainly dolls produced by the "Real Dolls" compnay... there was a documentary on it, which was disturbing to say the least...

In a lot of ways you felt sorry for these people, but on a humanistic way, you felt that this was a way for them to be happy--- even though it was in a completely sociopathic way.

its funny that people really are doing this stuff, but it's their live and i have respect for the people but isn't it more fun to talk, huggle, play, eat together with a real japanese girl, they are really funny and when they are angry their more funnyier and pretty'er ;-)

None of us are disagreeing I think that a real woman, any woman (or man) or whathaveyou, is preferable to a simulacrum.

Mmmkay...

That letter about "Nana" was just worrying. 😊

I don't get much attention from the ladies, and when I do, I was nervous as well, and after the nervousness plenty of things made the "deed" less then the act of perfection one imagines before they get to try it, but, the whole point is that once you get into it, nothing stops ya. 😊

I'de rather have a real thinking feeling woman who can appreciate it over some cold lifeless doll any day. 👍

I think I saw that real doll documentary, it definitely was disturbing.

I can understand how disturbing that documentary would have been. It wasn't... graphic... was it?

that doll looks scary.

I agree. It does. Why would anybody actually "date" a doll like that? The human mind confuses me sometimes.

It didn't show penetration, but, I dunno....just the way those people spoke about a doll.

Yeah. Sometimes the mental images brought about by speaking about that kind of thing can be worse than the actual images. *shudder*

There was a documentary not long ago about this. It is sickening and stupid. I think so anyway.
Doing a doll is the same as doing an act of necrofillia, because it doesn't do anything back. It is so easy to do, and that makes the men easy.
Really, if they are so desperate they should go clubbing or something and try to get a girl. Not buy a doll. I mean, get a girl, you can take them out and have fun and do much dirtier things with them(if they want to). You can't take a doll out for a meal in a resteraunt, 1) It wouldn't eat, 2) It would probably slip and put it's face in the food.

Seriousley, get a girl. Not a plastic.

I'm done.
:D

A few things from the article I thought worth mentioning:

A virgin is a useless man, isn't it?

Man, that's pretty defeatist. This guy could use some self-esteem boosting (of course, the whole article points to that fact, but this was especially telling, I thought).

Japanese law says you can't make the p***y too realistic.

Interesting law. I wonder if the US has a similar one. I also wonder what the motivation behind making that law was. Was it a problem before or something?

On a related note (sort of), I was in the department store (I guess is what you'd call it) the other day, and there was a mannequin without a top on. It was a bit distracting, because it was pretty anatomically accurate. I thought they would just put humps where the breasts should be, but they went all out. Where's the law preventing that?

I'm pretty sure there isn't... but, there's also a similar law I'm told concerning the other route--- the simulated male genitalia can't be too realistic either...

Breasts... Breasts are breasts in Japan, and I suppose that like everything else, as long as the bits are cut out that are required by law, you can have "oppai balls" lying about everywhere.

(oppai is (coloquial?) for breast in Japanese...)

I'm not sure if Britain has this law but, knowing the other laws we have over here, we probably do.

It's a bizzare law. Does anybody know why the laws exist?

Haha, I was watching Japanorama yesterday and they were talking about these things! One guy had over 20 of them! It was amazing! Nothing in his place was actually for him, it was all clothes and other junk for the dolls!!! I didn't know they had Love doll Brothels!!! Have you seen how much those things cost???

did some RESEARCH

i was was reading my Filipino newspaper and i found links to the articles about the dolls:

Silicone dolls are quite popular in Japan, where they are known as "Dutch Wives" ('datch waifu'). Their name originates from the term, possibly English, for the thick rattan or bamboo bolster, used to aid sleep in humid countries by keeping one's limbs lifted above sweaty sheets. There is even a rental service for 'datch waifu' in Tokyo, Doru no Mori, that specialises in sex dolls.

Haha, I was watching Japanorama yesterday and they were talking about these things!
I've only seen series one, but it seemed to me, the type of documentary that is famous in the UK... exploitative, at times shallow, and brief when it does in fact delve into the deeper aspects of Japanese culture... It's a documentary meant to SHOCK & titillate the proles, though Johnathan Ross is apparently quite a fan of Japanese culture...

I found it offensive at times, and felt that though it paid homage to some important aspects of Japanese culture, it overall presented an image of Japan as a nation of sex-obsessed robot loving weirdos who we could not possibly ever understand.

Hey look! Japan is really really weird... So tired.

I've only seen season 1, and though I'd have to go back to it to refresh my memory, I know it left a bad enough taste in my mouth to warrant deleting it off my HD...

Adam & Joe go Tokyo seemed much more respectful, and at all times more obscure, while omitting the type of pulp sex that panders to the beeb's prole demographic.
