and i must say they guy is a genius.. i love his lyrics.. they are just so sad and right..

the IIId empire is about war and patriotic-ness... and mob mentality... and contradictions. he also said in an interview that he is kind of making fun of himself in it for writing about war when he has never experianced one... kinda like "who do i think i am?"

and C's lyrics are amazing... though i don't see them as sad compaired to other kyo lyrics... it's sadly optimistic in a way... well, not optimistic.... that's not the right word... in the same interview i talked about with the IIId empire, he said that the lyrics to amber were kind of optimistic/sad, and he said that he thought it was really interesting and different to write like that and he wanted to expand into that a little more... i think C might be the result of that

just my opinion though...

oh and also you're my hero for making this thread... "the simple answer of C" is a favorite line of mine <3 kyo truly is the prophet...

i only recently found out what the word "mushi" means... it makes a lot of sense... i wonder if kyo felt any "mushi" while he was in school (not sure about the grammatical correctness there XD), since he did say that all the other kids called him weird and he could never figure out why (XDDDD)... but he also said he always had friends and such, so i wonder...

i also found out today about "number-4" @_@ he seriously is a genius... and in other parts of the world, half his lyrics don't have the multipule meanings they have here in japan, so half of the content gets lost ;_; and it's STILL genius...

i personally think this song is about self-hate

some random things to keep in mind: at one point kyo says "the one i love and adore number-4"... the "the one i love and adore" is in japanese and "number-4" is in english... 4 means death and unlucky-ness in japanese culture... (that stanza is my favorite by the way)

I don't know why but as I was reading this, I almost cried. I agree. It sounds like it is self-hatred. The whole song sounds very, I don't know...hypocritical? I think that because it sounds that way when you read it and think about it, it sounds very self-hating and hypocritical, and it almost made me cry. I honestly don't know what to say... I could go on for hours about what I would think about it.

Let's just say, it made me think.
