毎日 英語 を 勉強して いる

I am wondering what does it mean? and what's difference between this and

毎日 英語を 勉強します

～ている（～ています） means that the action is ongoing, not completed. It can be (1) something similar to present continuous in English, (2) statement that the subject is in a certain state, (3) present habit - you see, these are all "something ongoing, not completed".
毎日英語を勉強している。毎日英語を勉強しています。
means the person who made this statement studies English everyday.

～する（～します） simply means the action has not completed yet. Depending on the context, it could be general statement, present, or future.
毎日英語を勉強します。
can be either;
I study English everyday. (general statement, or present i.e. compared with past etc.)
I will study English everyday.
I'm going to study English everyday. (not present continuous but future.)
