Those people who drive black vans around Japanese cities? Do you listen to them??

Perhaps you should say a bit more about them, for the purpose of starting an actual discussion. Personally, I think they're a nuisance and just ignored them when I saw them.

^^ Any typical Japanese should know about them (rightest nationalists).

I second what nice gaijin wrote, and btw this is not a great way to start a discussion.

Another thing you generalize a bit too much with the intent of starting an argument, then running away.

Keep it up and you will be getting an invitation to my ignore list.

To me you act like a troll, and not a very good one at that....better luck next time.

I'm so glad that you know the typical Japanese so well, except for what they think of Chinese people (which makes your choice of username peculiar, since you claim to be Chinese). Also, "rightest nationalist" is an awful vague description of something you wish to start a discussion on, especially since there's a lot more to Uyoku than that.

If you're trying to ask a question to the Japanese members of this board, you have an audience I can count on my digits. Perhaps you should expand your "discussion" to include more than the "typical Japanese."

I didn't even know what Uyoku where. I knew that I had heard of them, but I don't know what they do or their purpose.

Oh, confusion....

Oh, confusion....

Depending on the person you are talking to and their point of view some will tell you their purpose is to do nothing more than annoy everyone.

Others will tell you that their purpose or goal is the restoration of the Emperor as the "divine" leader of Japan.

To me they are a loud annoyance just like the election cars that run around everywhere during election season.

I would hate to be the guy driving one of those things, they must go half deaf after spending a day driving around with all that racket going on right above their heads.

Oh, so the Uyoku...

Okay, they're different then what I thought they were.

I thought they'd go around and play advertisements or something. I didn't know that they'd try to restore the emperor.

Thanks =] I was confused.

I wonder if McTojo ever drove around in one of those vans...

so real Uyokus hate them because they are they are advertising a bad or negative images of the right wing to foreign countries and ordinary persons .

funny thing was...
one they Yokozuna Asashoryu was interviewed by the South Korean media.
korean media said " The discrimination of the Japanese might have been cruel to you".
yokozuna said " no discrimination to me"
Korean media said "It is not necessary to conceal it. What discrimination did you receive?"
yokozuna said "Especially, there is not."
korean media said" Especially? it means there are some.."
yokozuna said " so , I am saying there is no.... understand ? Kimuchi man"
after that ,many Uyoku bans bashed and protested to Sumo association
yokozuna asasyoryu was received the threat by them.

I saw a black van in a parking lot which was 150 meter (135 yard) ahead of my house. There I never saw such a black car before. I guess that some mess would happen in a ramen shop near the parling lot.

They used to drive down the street just in front of my house daily. It simply became background noise. It seems to me that it's just a hobby of sorts for most of the members, as campaigning for things like the restoration of the emperor to power are extremely unrealistic goals, and most of them understand that well. They are supposedly dangerous, but I've never heard of any incidents that involved trouble with them.
