I randomly remembered a few streamers using "flashbang" to mean "(sudden) white screen" for various reasons a bit ago. Thus, I've gotten the three different translations below for "flashbang (grenade)" in short order. When would they be used? Sadly, DeepL makes viewing Romanizations extremely difficult, so those are all from Google translate

1. 閃光弾 (senkō-dan; initial Google, which I typed in first despite having just failing to find Jisho bookmarked. It wasn't in Jisho until after my initial search for it there failed)
2. 閃光発音筒 (senkō (something starting to h)-tō or senkō-dan ontō, depending on which side of the translator it's on. First Romanization was after correcting the version above.)
3. 閃光手榴弾 (senkō shuryūdan, "flashbang grenade")

Konnichiwa TurkeySloth-san!

1.閃光弾 'Senkō-dan' is a flash grenade. Only flash light.
2.閃光発音筒 'Senkō-Hatsuon-tou' is a flashbang grenade.
3.閃光手榴弾 'Senkō-shuryūdan' is a flashbang grenade too.

閃光手榴弾 'Senkō-shuryūdan' or スタングレネード 'Stun grenade' are common words about flashbang. 閃光弾 'Senkō-dan' and 閃光発音筒 'Senkō-Hatsuon-tou' are minor words I think.

Those translations are for "grenade" as a weapon, not as "(sudden) white screen" used by streamers. For unintentional/accidental white screen, I would use 白飛び shirotobi.
