Request Emoticon Tool Problems? Help Me Build A Better One

I'm working on a new emoticon tool called "EmoticonHub". It's got a bunch of cool Japanese emoticons (kaomoji) and some Western ones too.

I'm not here to spam, just looking for honest feedback from people who really get emoticons. If you're into this stuff, I'd love your thoughts on:

• What features do you want in an emoticon tool?
• Any issues with current emoticon tools?
• How often do you use emoticons?

Interesting. I never use them because I don't have an easy way to access them.
Maybe if there was some tool that allowed one to look up and insert them into text I would...
So when using keyboard emoticons I stick to the tried and true : - ) :-/ :-( but most typically use emojis.
As for suggestions for your tool, the categorization is helpful however it would also be helpful to put help text on hover to say what the emoticon is.
Like "frowning bear on drugs with fart coming from its ear" for ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄ (or whatever it's supposed to be).
Many are obvious but others I really have no idea. °◦=͟͟͞͞ʕ̡̢̡ु•̫͡•ʔ̡̢̡ु ☏

The generator is pretty neat but it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate you taking the time to test it out.

You are right about needing hover text, that's a great suggestion. I will definitely add descriptions so everyone can understand what each emoticon means.

About that broken emoticon (⭜<(͠◉෴͠◉)>"><( )></option>), looks like there's a bug with some specific combinations. I will fix this ASAP as its not happening with other elements like eyes or arms.

Would you mind if I reached out once these changes are made? Would love to get your thoughts on the improvements

Thanks for sharing, Just to clarify, your list seems to focus on emojis (, , etc), while my tool is specifically for text-based emoticons/kaomoji like (｡♥‿♥｡) and ＼(-_______-; )／

But you made a great point about the difficulty in distinguishing meanings. I will definitely add clear descriptions for each emoticon in my tool to solve this problem. Thanks for the suggestion
