Is there Amazon in Japan

Hello

I am renting an apartment in Japan for school.

Is there Amazon in Japan ?

If so, I I am not home, how do I get my deliveries ?

Is there a Amazon drop box or station ?

Here in the USA they just leave it on my porch of my house.

There is certainly Amazon in Japan.

It's separate from that of USA, so you'll need to create a new account. I can't remember what they did as far as deliveries (more than 10 years ago) but it was never a problem when I wasn't at home. At the time there was no drop box or station that I was aware of.

Now that I think of it, I do remember having to go the post office to pick up packages from time to time, although I can't recall if that was for Amazon goods at all or not. I would a notice of missed delivery that I would have to bring to the post office along with my seal/stamp (although you could probably get away using your signature as a foreigner.

Yes there's Amazon. What kind of apartment will you have? School housing? Anyway never fear, you will have a way to receive packages.

One option is to use an Amazon Hub Locker, which is a self-service kiosk where you can pick up your packages at convenience stores, supermarkets, train stations, and other places across Japan. You can select a locker location as your shipping address when you place your order, and you will receive a pickup code by email or text message when your package arrives. You can then enter the code at the locker to retrieve your package.
Another option is to use an Amazon Hub Counter, which is a staffed pickup point where you can collect your packages. You can find Amazon Hub Counters at partner stores such as FamilyMart, Lawson, and Yamato Transport. You can choose a counter location as your shipping address when you order, and you will receive a notification when your package is ready for pickup. You can then show your ID and pickup code to the store staff to get your package.
A third option is to designate a delivery date and time which allows you to select a specific date and time slot for your delivery. This way, you can schedule your delivery when you know you will be home or when someone else can receive it for you.
