In this video, we'll talk about these 2 words that mean FUTURE in Japanese.

Is there a difference between "mirai" and "shourai"? Spoiler, yes, they have some differences, and it´s important to know them, because if you choose the wrong word, your message may sound weird.

That's why in this video, we will cover when and how you should use each of these words when talking about the FUTURE.

So I would use しょうらい when I'm working on something now for my very near future.

Your post was actually good timing for me. Amazing!

Exactly 👍 You are going to begin teaching English again in near future so you can say
近い将来、英語を教えます(or 教えたいと思っています。教えようと思っています)

If you meet your girlfriend's dad and he asks about 未来, you can tell him your concerns about climate change, modernization and sustainable development practices.

If you meet your girlfriend's dad and he asks about 将来, you need to tell him about your intentions with his daughter.

I love your comment 💖 It's so true 😂

How about 先行き (sakiyuki) and 先の(saki no)?
先行きis …outlook, future course, prospects or even the road ahead
日本の景気の先行きは厳しそうですね
先の… coming, upcoming, future, ahead
先の事は誰にもわかりません
