Wow - Something Great Happened To Me Today !!!!

I just got back from Holiday and my Naruto DVDs have arrived! I now have all 3 films! I know it isn't that big, but it made me happy at least.
 
Well, I finally got the money for my summer trip to Tampere! gonna meet some of my online friends there and have some fun with them in Sarkanniemi
Plus, the infection in my ear finally calmed down, and my ear isn't stuffed anymore, yays!
 
I spent some top quality time with my partner yesterday and this morning.
Also today my bonus got paid into my account (this may not seem a big deal to some people but bonuses are as rare as hen's teeth where I work!).
 
I got the little pest!
The snail that's been invading my living room at night for like 2 weeks

Hey, I only saw that part of your post just now... my partner flew into Tampere yesterday! (although is travelling to somewhere else today) Small world isn't it?
 
I had a PM today saying that my article on Azumanga Daioh is now in the entertainment section. Yeah *does a little dance*, I'll think I shall write some more.

I should start writing album reviews again. I used to write them for Nippon Project and JaME, but I stopped at the beginning of this year because I didn't have enough time. But now I miss listening to new music. Perhaps time to get my *** back in gear!

My partner got home from Finland last night (should I say, early this morning, lol) so that's the great thing that happened to me today. It's cool to hear about his visit, but I still missed him. So things are good with me today.
 
Much to my delight, I found both The Host AND 300 when I wandered into Suncoast Video during my lunch break today. Double YAY!! I've been dying to add those flicks to my movie collection. I'm so happy!! Now I have to decide which one to play first tonight. Decisions decisions!

 
This may not seem like much but... I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED WATCHING ALL THE CURRENT NARUTO EPISODES!!! That's 243 episodes of an anime I only started watching in January. *sigh* My God that took AGES. Now I can move on to something shorter... like Death Note.

I met my partner's mum and step-dad on Saturday evening; it all seemed fine; they seem like nice people.

Yesterday was a good day in London. And the English weather has improved!
 
I have been putting it off for ages, but the huge hole in my tooth got plugged today. Yahoo!

I lost a filling about four months ago, and the cavity accomodated a grain of cooked rice snugly. The perfect hell.


One interesting thing about the dentist's surgery was the piped music.
Just on the threshold of hearing was the sound of brushing.
I couldn't think of anything else the whole hour I was there.

After nearly an entire week of blistering hot weather with temps in the upper 90's, a cold front (accompanied by a t-storm or two) that breezed through Thursday night and evening left behind delightfully pleasant weather Friday. Temps never saw the high side of 80, add in partly cloudy skies and a nice breeze and it was wonderful. Even better, it was so cool Friday night, I didn't have to turn on the air conditioner when I went to bed last night, an open window provided all the comfort I needed. I love summer as much as the next person, but all this ridiculously hot weather I can live without, that's why Friday was so nice!

 
I managed to solve 3 math questions today. Simple things in life.
 
I kind of feel like starting a new thread just for my news, but hey, this thread certainly suits it! :haihai:
My partner has asked me to marry him, and I have accepted.

We haven't even told anyone yet, let alone planning details like when and where etc., but we know we want a Catholic wedding and a Wiccan handfasting ceremony; not a big expensive wedding but something quiet and personal.

I still kind of can't believe it's real... and I guess it won't feel real until we have told my mum, haha... which we are doing on Sunday. We can't afford to get a ring yet! I could always call mum and tell her but we want to say it face to face.

I did it! I finally graduated from culinary arts school! My family and friends were there. Everything went great! For my final test I had to prepare a lunch for 13 people. I came close to breaking down when the chefs spoken to the guests about me.

Next stop, the conquest of the culinary world. Then the rest of the world!
