Well, I just got "The Secret" and it is the best $18 dollars you could ever spend, it could change one's life forever. I have only one day reading it and am having such a change it's really amazing. Oh, and I got my host family info for my exchange just today. I will arrive in Japan August 24th and I will live in a town close to Nagoya called Okazaki.

Not so much as today, but the past few days. I got home for vaction last week and I got to see my family. It was great, my nephew has gotten so big!

To make it even better I helped my sister and brother-in-law move into their new house. This is the best vacation I've had in a long time!

This is a good idea Uncle. Its nice to share other peoples joy and also tell people yours when your excited without making a whole new thread that makes you seem like a show off haha.

Well now that thats been said let me show off ^-^
Today was the day i got my award from University im a special achiever. The day was quite boring to attend and id not slept in over 24 hours but when people got up on the stage to accept their award and make a speech or in this case more of a shout out it felt good. People came from every type of back round and all achieved different things. Im even going to be in next years promotion of the university haha so ill be famous J/K. well thats about it, i also got £50 but thats more of an encouragement then award.

Ooh. Get you.

Today we performed our version of the Trojan War to the other half of our Theatre Studies class and, although ours wasn't the funniest, we were the most organised. Made me feel a little better.

@ pinkichan: oooh wow, that was lucky - scary! ☝

@ maushan3: that's cool, sounds like a so amazing book. I really need to read more! >.<

@ justin: it's great to spend time with family and all getting along together. You must be a cool brother to have, to help them move house!

@ frostyg02uk: congratulations!

@ Kirie_Maiden: that's great; it sounds like everyone had fun too!

My great news... well it's not 'great news' specifically... well, it kinda is... but it's more like I just had a really nice weekend ... I got back off holiday, and could finally see my slave/boy again... which was really emotional (<-- happy tears)... he did all sorts of work for me over the weekend and cooked for me (enough to feed an army! lol) and we just spent time together and it was really special.

Was my last day on one of my Elementary schools, and I received some gifts.

See all pics on my blog.

^ That's cute! You sure did get a lot of letters. Are you sad to be leaving, though..?

Today I found a ill kitten, and I'm going to nurse it untill it gets better! I have already given him a name: Kitty the Kitten! mwa, now I have to say "Hello Kitty" everytime I wake up. It was a stupid plan, but now Kitty doesn't listen to any other name than Kitty, so I'll have to put up with "Hello Kitty" for a while...

^ Aww, kittens are so sweet. :haihai: I hope he (he-Kitty? XD) is better soon!

Today I booked my flight to Berlin! I am going there in Septembre with my partner and his mum and her bf, just for 5 days. I was happy to get booked on the same flight as them (since they bought a couple of days ago but I had to get the all-clear from my boss at work).

Today I began seriously working on a story that I've wanted to write for a long time, but never had the time. So hopefully I'll be able to use the opportunity of summer to make some headway.

Goodluck on the story! maybe you can add some extracts of it onto here for us to read now and then ^-^

Erm to keep with the topic my good news today is that ...i had some Shin ramen and it turned out nice ;oD

I had book four of the Gunslinger Girl Manga turn up today. Plus Judge dredd volume 8, also found and bought the new Kevin J. Anderson book Metal swarm. I didn't even know it was out in paperback.

I spent the day with my best friend Ai. It was the last time I'll be able to see her for a long time. She is moving back home to Japan, but with any luck I'll get a chance to visit her.

Anyway, we meet downtown had lunch at my favorite sushi place (The Sukiyaki Inn try it if you're ever in town). We must have spent well over an hour just talking. After that we took a walk to the movie theatre and the heat was murder! After the movie we went to her favorite bar had some beer and something to eat. We must have been there for two hours and I think we only had three beers each.

When it the time for are buses to arrive the song of my watch ticking was like the tolling of a bell. It breaks my heart seeing her go, but friends like Ai stay with you in your heart forever.

I have just seen the new Harry Potter movie. Quite a cool film.

Not as good as Japanese Horror... or fantasy... like Ashura. Amazing film.

Well, clothes buying would normally qualify as dull and boring stuff, but not for me since I've lost a whopping 40 pounds since October (was at 240), so yesterday, I had to buy pants with a smaller wasitline than I had been wearing as I've gone from a 40 to 36 waistline. I look at that as a considerable accomplishment as I no longer have a pitiful looking gut, not only that, I both look and feel better too! In the end, that clothes buying expedition qualifed to me as something great!

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!!

I'm going the other way, 36 inch headed to 38 inch, LOL. As I get older, it sure is hard to exercise and to use willpower to eat right/diet.
Good for you FJ!

Well, I'll admit it wasn't easy to break years and years worth of old dietary habits and force myself into both eating right and getting exercise on a daily basis. Oh, yeah, and it should be mentioned that I didn't use ANY artificial means (i.e., diet pills or drinks) to lose all the weight that I did. Just me, myself and I. And I'm pretty proud of that!

That's really great, Jeff! It is such good willpower; congratulations! No wonder the clothes-buying expedition was more fun.

I had a great weekend, going to 2 music festivals and then a bit of shopping in Camden and visiting a friend.

I would agree. While no one's gonna mistake me for a bodybuilder, I do look and feel better after having shed all that weight. Heck, I can now see my feet while standing up again! HA!

I made it back to San Francisco alright. The only bad thing (besides hitting my head on the overhead storage bin) was that my bags got to San Francisco three hours after I did.

^ Aw damn! That must have been a bit worrying. I always worry that my bags are going to get lost, but touch wood, it hasn't happened yet!

My boy came round last night (always a good thing!) and brought good news; he has two free flights to a choice of 7 destinations in Europe... we have to use them within a year. Spring holiday ahoy!

Also, we're getting bonuses at my work - the first time that has happened in all the years I have been there! (ours is not the sort of company that gives a bonus )

In addition, there is a new post going vacant that I am going to apply for It is a higher position so if I get it, it would be amazing, and if not, doing the application/interview is still fun/interesting.

Oh, and I'm going to see the Harry Potter movie tonight with my mum and my aunt.

I went shopping today. I bought a silk top for £3 in a sale, I got a Samurai pencil case for College, 3 manga books and Final Fantasy VII: Advent children on DVD for £7.

All in all, a good shop.

Actually, that something great happened last night as, thanks to Monsters HD (one of the high-def channels that's part of my Dish Network package), I enjoyed a "big bug" marathon.

"The Deadly Mantis, followed by "THEM!", followed by "The Black Scorpion", followed by "Tarantula". From 6 p.m. to midnight, it was all big bugs all the time on my 52 inch TV! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I was in seventh heaven from start to finish! I don't mind telling you I was so keyed up from sheer bliss afterward, it took a good half and hour to fall asleep. This was easily THE best night of TV watching I've enjoyed in a long, LONG time!

Yeah, I know I have no life, hey, I don't deny that! But last night was so-oooooo much fun for me!

^ Heyyyy, it's good to have a good long sit-down and watch of some of your favourite programmes sometimes! I'm rather partial to bugs myself.

My mum met my partner for the first time at the weekend... I don't know her opinion yet (not that it makes any difference! ;-) ) but it was a nice weekend... ... he has done almost all my cleaning for me (really well!!!), and made breakfast and dinner both days, and although he had to leave super-early for work this morning when I woke up there was a handwritten letter by my bed and my teabag already sitting in my mug.
