Would the following sentences sound right? Does my question work?

Question: Which is correct, (a) or (b)?

Yes, it's a good test. So, clearly (for a native speaker), you're expecting these answers:

1) a
2) b
3) a
4) b
5) a
6) a
7) b
8) b
9) b
10) b

There's no ambiguity in any of the questions, so it's an effective test.

I recommend add more choices, but that's just me.

I have to disagree with more choices. It seems to be a test as to when to use the word "to" and when not to use it. It doesn't seem to me that there would be other options for this type of test. It seems an efficient test to me.

I don't see what is wrong with other tenses like -ing, past. For example the 1st sentence seems more natural with: I saw him driving his car this morning.
