I just wish the woman would take total charge and make herself very clear at all times ....

Have you ever thought how scary a world that might be ? I would suggest the old movie, Amazones (which I missed because I was under age back then. The women would make it very clear what they wanted; sex for procuring children only, and then you're a gonner !! There's this theory that states, "Once upon a time, there was a world where women ruled the world. They were intelligent, caring, and peaceful, but their instinctive ties to their children were bonds too strong that made way for rampant favoritism. Not that all women are like that way, sorry, no offense. The elderly grandma's gathered and decided, "We are stepping down. We shall install male leaders, and have them take charge. Although they may be lacking in intelligence and empathy, exactly due to the fact, they could be less corrupt, and just might be able to dole out more
peace and equity owing to their thickness, aka abstract brains. Moses ! Come here right now and take charge, and that's an order !"

because with very quiet and low key guys like myself it's virtually impossible to be "agressive" or say "risque" things because it's just not me and if I try it comes across as idiotic and ackward because, agian, it's just not me.

I understand your frustration. I am sure there are women who also feel uneasy about all the jacked up courting ritual. Nobody should be forced to be someone different from how they feel naturally themselves.

And if you don't then like I mentioned most just assume your not at all interested and bugger off. It's a loose/loose situation, or so I find at least.

At the same time, you should make it known that you are available, and that you are interested. Demand a clear response perhaps after the third innuendo or message. Some will not responde of course for various reasons, but some will, I think. Not all women are the same. But as Brooker says, a lot of women might be more comfortable with the way things have been set up as in the way most of the population is indoctrinated starting from color coding and fairy tales. It just takes a little longer, and some ingenuity on your part, to find the right gal for you. Don't despair, Jungle Boy ! ;-)

I know guys sometimes get annoyed when women don't come right out and tell them how they feel. But I guess it's almost programmed for us to imply what we're feeling. This all basically in my opinion the differences between men and women. I don't expect men to do it all, but at times women do like when men take initiative. If I liked a guy, he'll know if I'm interested.

Thank you both for the responses. I understand how things are in the world and how some women expect things of men. I will just be patient (I've waited 21 years already, whats a few more?) and keep trying my luck. Women outnumber men so eventually I have to find one that aleast likes me enough to be outgoing and honest and not play silly games. Or gather up the courage to be a little more outgoing myself, wichever comes first

hmm... I don't hide if I like someone. I guess it depends what you mean by 'obvious'. I mean, if I was interested in a guy I wouldn't have any problem with calling him first. When I was thinking 'obvious' I was picturing something a bit more obnoxious and annoying!

Don't you guys ever feel that women are secretive? Even though they might already have a boy friend or someone they like, yet they want to keep it a secret even they are not interested in you. I can only say that they are bitchy enough to hook a lot of guys up and feel good about it. The thing I hate so much about is they are not honest. Yes, I do agree that some women are not like that, but most women I know are.
Guys out there, have you ever thought of not getting married? Well, I do, because even some girls and me are just friends and they are not honest. Well then, how am I going to trust them if we get into relationship?

Lexico, I really love your story about women letting guys to lead. What do you think of the world today? No offence, just my thought. I think the world had been change. Women seeking of equal rights. But did they think of responsibility? Yes, a lot of women want to work and I have no problem with it. However, they already forget who they are. Their biggest responsibility of all is to give birth and take care of the family which male can't do as good as they are. We can't give birth and raise children because we lack of motherly love. If I can give birth, I don't even need to seek for a wife. Because it's something that male can't do. That's why there are male and female in this world. If they have access time and want to work, I have no problem with it and will not stop her. Living in this world, we really have to share the responsibility and cooperate.

Women today are selfish and only take care of themselves. They will not care about anything about society and future. What they care is to live in luxury before they die. In some point, I found that guys are a slave or clown to women to make them happy and live in luxury.

I really have to stand up for men, as men today are weak and only doing things by looking at women expectation. WE HAVE TO STAND UP BEFORE THEY PUT US UNDER THEIR FOOT.

Sorry if I offended anyone here as I really have problems with women.

Women confessing to men? That doesn't sound like it's an impossible feat. I'm sure there are many women in the world who confess their love to a man, rather than the man confessing first. Now if you asked me on past personal experiences I would have said no. The day a woman confesses her love to me is the day I own my own video game company (which odds equal out to be 1,690,514,787,047 to 1).

Shin_ji: I think that you are a bit harsh to think *all* women are like you say But I can appreciate in some ways what you say. It is generalisations, but I know many men who feel the same as you, who have been hurt or betrayed and feel that women are not honest, or materialistic, or somethings like that. And I also know many women who really don't like to have kids. Well, I don't have any kids, but I think to be so against it is a bit of a stupid attitude sometimes (depending on individual's circumstances of course - I don't mean to say it for everyone).

Gee, dude, i can bring a bunch the same stereotypes which females have about males with the same scope of generalisation. And pull a dozen of girlfriend who would confess that the guys are just dumb hairy animals, less mature than little kids, thinking only about sex and football...
