I like drinking bottled sparking juice, because it is not bitter. Why do people like to pour that bitter poison down their throat? Can't you taste the bitterness?

Sparkling juice doesn't get you drunk...
:romance:

Also, some people don't like carbonated beverages. Take me, for example. (My only exception is beer, BTW.)

Wine, combined with the right food (and even when it's not) can be quite sweet.

Plus what Kinsao said.

Why do you want to be drunk?

I'm just curious, because the reasons could be interesting.

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers"

Wine is as varied as cheese; there are wines that are even sweeter than soda. If you don't like the wine you've tried, perhaps you haven't tried much of a variety.

cheese is okay, but wine has alcohol in it. How do you expect me a special olympic athlete to ever drink or touch alcohol? It is not the way of a special olympic athlete.

:)

Since this is a japanese website, it is like saying this how do you expect a samurai to run away from his battles? if he did he wouldn't be called a samurai. If I drank alcohol, or used any inappropriate substance. I wouldn't be called a special olympic athlete.

I actually don't like being drunk, all that much.
I drink alcohol because I like the taste... well, of some drinks. :)
I like wine better than soda because it does not have to be all that sweet (at least, I like dry wines the best). My taste does not really like sweet things.
Plus also, I don't like carbonated drinks, with the only exception being ginger beer. :-)

Yes, you would. Normal athletes drink wine, beer or spirits Why should you or others in a similar position be different from a regular athlete.
A glass of red wine a day is said to be good for you as well. It help clean the body of anti-oxidants.

Slow down oxidation reactions you mean ? Antioxidants are tremendously healthful and protective against a variety of aging processes and geriatric diseases.

As a side note, to get onto a Special Olympics team requires either physical disability or an extremely low, barely functioning IQ, around 65-70 ? so not to dash anyone's dreams, but can we please close the discussion on that particular topic....😊

Not all wine is bitter.

He must've been drinking Ripple or Boone's Farm.
Or young red wine...although even those aren't as astringent to me as many people. Must be the Italian and French grapes my taste buds could :romance: drown in all day, and night....:romance:

I enjoy various beverages for the taste they provide that you can not find else where.

Even I was warned by an moderator, for talking too much about my life as a special olympic athlete. Regardless to the consequence. I cannot allow another regular citizen, to make false claims about the special olympic. This is because I'm a representative for the special olympic.

Three colleagues from my team are simply deaf.

Red wine contains anti-oxidants, which are present in the skin and seeds of grapes, and is healthy for that reason.

But nontheless, I agree with what you have said otherwise.

Hmm seems like you found the site for head office. That is correct Mikawa that information should be correct. however it does not disapprove of what I already stated.

Mikawa, I'm trying save you from embarrassment, therefore I will tell you this. It won't make you look very smart when you phone the head office asking how many athletes do Canada have in the special olympic, that are only deaf.
