Ohhh. I really feel bad about not having posted untill now.
(I refrained from posting, as it seemed a bit off-topic and didn't wish to cause further arguments....but I think what I did was just to make the situation worse...T_T)
Anyway, what I meant to say was "kichigai" is one of the terms that Japanese broadcasting companies categorize as a discriminatory term against mentally challenged people. And yet, I admit to say, sometimes, there's still a chance you might hear the word on TV without being beeped out if it's a live show or something. The broadcasting company, then, will most likely put up an apology afterwords for having unappropriate word during the show.
On the other hand, there's no laws on this actually, it's just that those companies refrain voluntarily from airing discriminatory terms.
