cyber ape said:"Do you hate your relative simply because he's white? or is it for some other reason? Yes, there isn't a rule against hating your parents, but it seems rather strange when the reason is "They're white", rather thatn "They left me and my mother when I was a kid to hold up a drug habit", or something along those lines."
Did I say I hated my relative(s) because they're white? No, I did not. I don't care that they're white, it's how they act.
Then why did you admit to hating your caucasian relatives? Why didn't you specify that?
"Y'know, I get real mad when people go "You have to know more about my life" as an excuse for their behavior. And you obviously aren't over it, so quit acting like that."
Um, I AM over it. It was a facet that lasted all of about 3 days. And, if you must know, I've gone through the typical hero-to-zero scenario, where I was leading a fine life until I moved to this god-forsaken city. So, there, I hope you're happy I told you unnecessary-to-know info. Of course, if it's not enough, I couldn't care less. Either way, I'm over that infantile situation.
What is so friggin bad about your city that you have to act like it's a vice? Everybody has problems, okay? Not just you. You sound like the rich kid who's dad lost most of his money and is now complaining about having to live in the Blue-collar family lifestyle.
"Then specify that next time, rather than making a blanket statement. Think before you type. And, just for the record, there are bad people everywhere, regardless of race. My friends and I have met some pretty mean hispanic gangs around where I live (Texas), but I don't go making a blanket statement saying "I hate all Hispanics", simply because I've had some bad experiences in the past. That's just childish."
I suppose the word "exaggeration" perplexes you. I don't know every single Caucasian within the state of Georgia, so why would you assume I meant so? And, the reason why I made a statement so tribal is simple because it's a recurring theme. I may not know every Caucasian within the state or city for that matter, but humans like to assume, even if their assumption is off.
I know the word "exaggeration" very well. I was pointing out that you couldn't make a blanket statement about every caucasian within the state of Georgia, even though that's exactly what you were doing. How you missed what I'm saying, I don't know.
"Well, you were talking about video games being made in Japan. That was taken to mean that the Japanese invented video games, rather than just rejuvenating the industry after the early 1980's and the video game crash."
OK, I'm still behind on this. All I was saying was THE FIRST DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION ARCADE GAME CREATED BY KONAMI ORIGINATED IN JAPAN BEFORE ANY OTHER COUNTRY! I'm not saying the Japanese WERE THE VERY FIRST RACE TO CREATE A VIDEO GAME OR CONSOLE, I'm saying THEY CREATED THE DANCING EXTRAVAGANZE KNOWN AS DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION.
*ahem* I believe your quote was that the Japanese made video games. Nothing more, nothing less. So quit trying to say that you said something else, okay? It's just childish and it doesn't belong on this forum. By the way, I don't know if you noticed this, but your caps lock button got stuck.
"but you're not in Japan. You're in America. So quit acting like you're a freedom fighter of some kind."
How am I acting like I'm a freedom fighter? Because I said I stand up for African American's rights often? What is with you people? I don't literally go picketting on the side-walk with signs reading,"Help our poor Africans!" Just, every now and then when the topic comes up I just give a pithy point-of-view.
Actually, I was talking about some of your earlier comments, where you kept saying that caucasians treat asians like crap (which wasn't true) when you were part caucasian yourself. And I stated an example. Then you went off trying to change the subject. No, I don't criticize you for standing up for African-American rights. I do the same thing. What I do criticize is your statements about caucasians which are unfounded/untrue. You sounded like a member of the Neo-Nazis trying to make statements about how Jews are dangerous.
"Why do you use the term, anyway? If I knew you, I'd be afraid to take you out in public for fear of you offending someone. Just watch your mouth."
Because it's not a term. It is not only an associative term used AMONG MY FRIENDS ONLY, but it is used to make sentences sound more correct.
Why don't you try using something else, rather than something that was/is a racial insult against the japanese? And how the hell did you make friends? If your social skills are like this in real life, I don't know why anyone would want to be around you, much less befriend you.
"I'm sorry, but you started making racial comments, as well as other offensive and arrogant remarks that would more than likely piss alot of people off. We're not ganging up on you. We're just defending ourselves by refuting your remarks. Would you be happier if we just concurred and said "You're right. All Caucasians should die." and went home and commited suicide? Well, go somewhere else then, because most NORMAL people don't tolerate that."
Oh what, because I said I dislike Caucasians all the caucasians within the forum have to get in my face? You know, all I stated was my personal dislike; that's it. Notice I gave no examples as to why, unelss you count my scenario of them "picking in on chicks." I didn't say anything over-the-edge or racy, just that I disliked white people. Um, I don't want to be right you fool, I'm just saying that I dislike white people interacting with the asian opposite sex. Of course, I've grown past that now, but even so, you have a huge megalomaniacal problem. Well, I guess it'd be easier to call you blind. I see I can no longer safely give my opinion without someone complaining. It offends you huh? How do you think I feel having to quote all you guys who won't just go elsewhere?
first question: yes. Typically when someone starts making comments about you or your group, the natural instinct is to fight back. You wouldn't sit by while people started making racial comments about Asians, would you? And that wasn't stating a "personal dislike". That was (bum bum BUM!!!) a racial remark, because you put forth an example of a situation where you described one race as generally evil, and the other as generally apathetic/good. That in and of itself was over-the-edge/racy. "I dislike White People" is similar to if someone said "I dislike Asians" or "I dislike Hispanics". And it sounds to me like you are FAR from being past your problems. I don't see how you could call me blind, when you seem to be the bigot here. If you don't like it when people defend themselves against YOUR comments, then you should leave.
"Oh, so you know the majority of Caucasians within the state of Georgia. Okay...I'm guessing by that statement you meant the majority of Caucasians you've come in contact with while in Georgia."
Nothing gets by you huh sleuth?
what's with your attitude, by the way? Did your parents teach you to act this way to everyone else?
"Kei_Shugojin basically said what I was thinking...except for that ending. That was a bit extreme, but I got the point. You can't expect people to just nod and agree to everything you say. Besides, what made this a one-sided exploiting war? I don't remember waging war against you or anyone else here...care to explain that one?"
dude, what are your problems? I didn't ask for anyone to agree. I stated my opinion, not as if it were fact or as if to persuade or gain followers. Quit misconstruing things so badly. I don't much like being framed -_-. Oh yeah, one sided = in my favor
You know those people on online shooter games, like Halo, who go "I'm gonna kick your ***!" or "I'm so bad!", get into the game, turn out to suck, cop out halfway through, then go "Hey! I was just kidding! I'm not really that good!"? For some reason, I'm reminded of that.
Now to get back on topic, no, there isn't anything wrong with you hanging out with a Japanese person.
Then what is with your last several comments?
cyber ape said:"Then why did you admit to hating your caucasian relatives? Why didn't you specify that?"
Sorry, I kinda forgot what this was all about, so, I don't recall ever needing to. Sry, I kinda moved on past this.
"What is so friggin bad about your city that you have to act like it's a vice? Everybody has problems, okay? Not just you. You sound like the rich kid who's dad lost most of his money and is now complaining about having to live in the Blue-collar family lifestyle."
It IS a vice. I'm aware everyone has problems. I'm not the Sun King. And, that scenario is only half-right. I moved here because my family had a lack of money, but I still have brains. And, I didn't know I was complaining. Sry, I really kinda moved past this.
"I know the word "exaggeration" very well. I was pointing out that you couldn't make a blanket statement about every caucasian within the state of Georgia, even though that's exactly what you were doing. How you missed what I'm saying, I don't know."
Um, I didn't literally mean every caucasian within the state.
"*ahem* I believe your quote was that the Japanese made video games. Nothing more, nothing less. So quit trying to say that you said something else, okay? It's just childish and it doesn't belong on this forum. By the way, I don't know if you noticed this, but your caps lock button got stuck."
It did? Hmm, it doesn't appear so. Anyways, I may have said that at one time, but last I checked the focus was on Dance Dance Revolution. If you want to focus on the fact that I said the Japanese invented them, go ahead, because I'm not.
"Actually, I was talking about some of your earlier comments, where you kept saying that caucasians treat asians like crap (which wasn't true) when you were part caucasian yourself. And I stated an example. Then you went off trying to change the subject. No, I don't criticize you for standing up for African-American rights. I do the same thing. What I do criticize is your statements about caucasians which are unfounded/untrue. You sounded like a member of the Neo-Nazis trying to make statements about how Jews are dangerous."
So what if I'm part Caucasian? Wait, this is where you're going to call me a hypocrite. Look, I don't recall saying Caucasians treat Asian like crap, but even if I did so what? How would you know? Last I checked you don't live in Augusta, GA. If I'm making the caucasians sound "dangerous" I apologize, but it really seems like you're just demonizing me, something I will not tolerate. I already said I have nothing against Caucasians, except a minor grudge with the(ahem, caution: exaggeration ahead) Caucasians in the city of Georgia.
"Why don't you try using something else, rather than something that was/is a racial insult against the japanese? And how the hell did you make friends? If your social skills are like this in real life, I don't know why anyone would want to be around you, much less befriend you."
Because, I don't know if this is just me, but my friends will use insults as compliments. For example, if I'm defeated at DDR by my friend I will often tell him,"You suck!" Why would I say he sucks if he defeated me? It's more of a compliment. Similarly, when we play Yu-Gi-Oh! often whenever one of us pulls an unforseen maneuver we will chant something to the affect of profanity, but since me and my best friend are Asians, we are often called "slant-eyes" for foiling their plans and often winning the duel. I've already explained that Jap is used to fix sentences, not as a racial slur. Of course, where I live and once lived, there were no Japanese people(there, happy?) to get offended. How did I make friends? Simple; I'm a great guy. I really am. But bonkotsus such as yourself always have to bombard me with stupid comments. I don't walk around screaming racial slurs or profanity or egotistical remarks(yes, bonkotsu was rather egotistical, but what can I say? Kaiba, Seto left an influence on me). It's only among my friends, and generally behind closed doors.
"first question: yes. Typically when someone starts making comments about you or your group, the natural instinct is to fight back. You wouldn't sit by while people started making racial comments about Asians, would you? And that wasn't stating a "personal dislike". If you don't like it when people defend themselves against YOUR comments, then you should leave."
Um, people say they dislike Asians all the time. Yes I don't say anything, because it's their right. I'm not going to beat them up physically or verbally just because they dislike my kind. Now, if they raise too much of an ignorant stink I might teach them a little lesson about Asian importance to American society, but never would I turn a molehill into a mountain about you just because some guys said,"I hate them damn slanted-eyes pickin up our chicks. They're not that great." And, even if I admit I'm over my problem, you still believe I'm behind? Get a clue, to quote Kaiba, Seto. I apologize that I offended you(yet you seem far away from giving me any form of condolenses), but the fact still remains that I dislike the majority of Caucasians that I've met here in the city of Augusta, GA.
"what's with your attitude, by the way? Did your parents teach you to act this way to everyone else?"
I apologize if I like to exploit the stupid. It's something I've been doing for years because jerks like you wouldn't leave me alone. I'm not called the undefeated exploiting champion for nothing. I'm not egotistical, I'm not racist, and I'm not mean. Of course, you probably see absolutely falseness in that, but it's true. I apologize if you think of me likethat, but I cannot stand my ground against stupid people. And, I know "there are stupid people every state and we all dislike people in some way." I'm aware. I'm simply stating I personally do not like those of a fickle mind, take that as you will.
"You know those people on online shooter games, like Halo, who go "I'm gonna kick your ***!" or "I'm so bad!", get into the game, turn out to suck, cop out halfway through, then go "Hey! I was just kidding! I'm not really that good!"? For some reason, I'm reminded of that."
me too, considering I came in here just to post, and then people thinking they're too good tried to make me look like some *****, and now look what's happened. Role reversal.
"Then what is with your last several comments?"
You know, if you're just gonna keep this up I'll let you have this post. Seriously, I'd better not here one more word. I'm sure you'll be more than overjoyed when I leave this particular post, but seriously, for the future, try not to raise such a stink, because it's just that; a stink. Nobody will want to be around you and you'll look bad. It appears that even a fool can't catch a cold.

So Cyber Monkey?
Why does a caucasian guy talking to a Japanese girl offend you so much?
Maybe a better attitude. You have STRONG feelings of race. Likely it shows.cyber ape said:There aren't any Japanese girls where I live, and it doesn't offend me any more. It only did because I got that feeling that most minorities and/or foreigners get of "what does he have that I don't" or simple "what's so great about him?"
Thats irrelevant.Sure, race doesn't matter, it's just a double coincedence. One, he's Caucasian, which, ever since I've been here I haven't gotten along with a single caucasian.
I dunno. Damn. Maybe cause thats what she wants? This was just a stranger. Sure, she's not"mine" nor did I have any intention of hooking up with her, I just don't see why she'd rather have a Caucasian than a Korean(and, I'm not Korean, I'm just saying Koreans are better than Caucasians IMO).
Obviously you aren't.Anyways, I'm over that now,
So caucasians = bad guys?I'm just tired of seeing girls go out with bad guys.
You're looking at rule of averages here too. Whats the ratio of caucasians to asians where you live? That seriously affects the rates of match ups. That's always been my problem; girls have terrible judgment where I live. Oh, before somebody yells at me I'd better say the majority of girls here have bad judgment.
Its their lives, their mistakes, their actions. What about all the girls taht are happy with Caucasians hmmm? So, my problem is simply because I feel for girls, especially Asians, because there are few Asians around here, and although the only ones are Koreans, which I am not, they're still my family in some way.
gaijin card is so cool.. I can't wait to get mine...FirstHousePooka said:Still need to own a gaijin card all your life.
It is kinda fun.TwistedMac said:gaijin card is so cool.. I can't wait to get mine...
No from what I've heard you're meant to hand it in at the airport when you leave for good.TwistedMac said:you can't bring it with you if you don't smuggle it? DAYM!
I was planning on having that as my memento once I got there and back :/
cyber ape said:I just don't see why she'd rather have a Caucasian than a Korean(and, I'm not Korean, I'm just saying Koreans are better than Caucasians IMO)
King of Tokyo said:You are just as bad as these members of the KKK you hate so much. You have just actually stated that one race is better than another. Which is not possible. I pride myself on fighting for the rights of minorities, while being white myself (Well, 75/25 White/Black, But I looke white) and I do come across these a**holes who dislike minorities, and it makes me hate them, not because they're white, but because they're racist. You are officially a racist, to actually claim one race is superior to another, that is a racist. You are disgusting. As much as I find myself to be constantly defending Asians, Blacks and all non-whites every time I come in contact with some redneck who thinks he can blame his problems on a minority, you are just as bad, if not worse, to say something like that.
Congratulations, You're an idiot.
That you use race as an identifier amongst friends is one sure sign about your feelings of identity and race. I have Vietnamese friends back home in Australia. Never once is race an issue, nor a nickname. Johnny is Johnny. Chuong is Chuong. Azzizzi is Azzizzi, not towel head or anything like that.cyber ape said:I don't have strong feelings of race at all. I mean, at school I call one of my friends whitey, but that's just a nickname. I don't go around the school calling every white person a cracker and using other derragatory terms against other races.
Unless you actually have feelings for the girl it should be a COMPLETE non issue to you. Not even worth watching.Good for her. I didn't stop her. I just watched.
OhNo, I'm saying they're better because of their qualities, their moral values, their beliefs, etc. Of course, I can't seem to say anything without you fools saying, 窶弩hat? You mean the entire race applies to this one statement?" I don't mean ALL Asians are great, because I've met numerous Asians to whom I wouldn't give friendship to for my life. However, when comparing Caucasians to Asians, Asians surpass them in most of the generic sections. If you wish to know what I mean by generic sections, I'd be happy to tell you.
This thread gives numerous clear examples of why you aren't over it. But your first post is the best example. And why not?
Well, I know that when I see a white guy hitting on an Asian female I get offended and want to stop them, even if they're no one I know and the Asian isn't my blood.
Well, I can't speak for Japan, so I really don't know. I never had a problem with anyone, until I moved here. Now, I really, really DESPISE Caucasians. Of course, I look Caucasian, so everybody thinks I'm just a contradicting self-hating fool. Oh well.
So do you get angry and offended when another Asian hits on a girl? When a white guy hits on a white girl? Heck the Asian guy might be a bad guy. You never know. No, because in some way, everyone is a villain, and everyone is an antagonist. Some are bad, some aren't. Just because I said bad guys does not mean I targeted Caucasians for that, just bad males in general.
Then you need to find out why the girls are going for Caucasians. Also something doesn't add up. You keep saying how you are a minority in your area, yet Asians represent 33%?Where I live, for every 3 people, there is 1 white, 1 African American, 1 Asian, and quite literally.
The fact that you even CARE, that you watch, that these thought processes are in your head is enough to make you a bigot. It窶冱 none of your concern, none of your business. Yet in your head you're making it your business. Just play DDR, don窶冲 even watch. You may get 'offended'.I'm aware. I'll let my family live as they wish as evidenced by the fact that I did nothing and said nothing about when the Korean girl was around the Caucasian male. If I really was some bigot like you all take me out to be, I would've stormed up to them and in a booming voice said something along the lines of, 窶弩hat are you doing? Get away from him! He's not worth it!" Of course, what I REALLY did was just play DDR and watch. Not one word about the two of them was uttered from my mouth. And, I don't care if she's happy or not with them, because as I said, I'M ALREADY OVER IT!
There窶冱 said to be a big difference amongst Japanese living abroad and Japanese on home soil when it comes to national identity. On the Japanese mainland you will NOT be accepted as Japanese. I tell you this with 99% confidence.Funny, because quite a few Japanese people know I'm Japanese and treat me as their own. Maybe you know different people.
Oh yes, yes it does. You are half Japanese. But half gaijin. You can never ever be completely Japanese in their eyes. Dude in my 2 years here in Japan I've met plenty of people that I was sure are Japanese. But they weren窶冲. They were half Korean. Or half Brazilian. Or half Pilipino for example. And they all tell me the same story. They aren't fully accepted here as Japanese. No matter how hard they try they are still outsiders to a degree.Of course, but that doesn't change the fact I was born in Okinawa, have friends and family within several places in Japan, and have Japanese blood. Just because I'm not full-blooded doesn't make me unaccepted.
Many bars and onsens have signs that read 'Japanese only'. And the decision on who enters is decided on how Japanese they look. \They have full-blooded Japanese-only bars? Any pics?
Which is EXCEPTIONALLY ODD. You will be treated like some kind of weirdo.I have my own set of chopsticks ^^
You were 7. You likely have distorted memories. Being stared at on the train is likely one of the most common complaints a foreigner (read me and you) makes in Japan.Well, when I visited Japan for a short while I wasn't started at in the least. Well, not in a weird way. Every now and then somebody might just be staring off into space. I didn't have a wacky hairdo, I wasn't writing kanji on a big sheet of canvas, I was just sitting down.
I don窶冲 know why you need them. But you do. and you must carry it around with you at all times and from what I understand the police can demand to see it at anytime (granted it hasn't happened to me, but has happened to my friend many times. Usually when riding his bike). They have Gaijin cards? Why do you need a card to show you're not from Japan? Sounds patronizing to me.
Seriously. You don窶冲 LIVE in Japan. Not really? Of all the Japanese people within Japan I talked to, nobody was super impressed that I spoke Japanese. And they said I had the accent and sentence structure dead-on. Seriously, we know some different people.
So you窶决e not 50/50? Be prepared for some REAL fun then.Um, I said it earlier. Half Japanese(50), 1/4th Greek(25), American(20), Egyptian(5).
Sigh. PEOPLE I'M BLUE IN THE FACE HERE!Not at my school, where the only people who know I'm Japanese are 1. My friends and 2. People who actually know how a Japanese man(sorry, wouldn't want to say Jap and offend anyone) acts.
They are patronising you. They may see some Japanese in you. Heck I can use chopsticks. Fricking amazing isn't it? Well it is too some Japanese here as I Have been told 'You are just like Japanese' because I can use chopsticks.Again, we know different people. Everyone I've known(and not just said hi to, I mean really well known) says they see the Japanese in me, including quite a few Japanese people.
You are not Japanese. Not full blooded. Not born there. You are a foreigner, just like me, by the Japanese cultural definition of the word.Well, I'd have to look up the word foreigner, because although I wasn't raised there, I was still born there. Whatever, thanks for the sodas
No, you proved earlier in your post that you feel Asians are morally superior. You can窶冲 even keep track of your own bleatings in one post?Preference, not superiority. Get it right
Kid the only person who looks bad here is you. Highlighted by the fact that NO-ONES taken your side.No you dolt. How about asking before accusing, because it makes you look stupid. When I meant better, I meant better of a choice. I guess I should've typed that, because I'm really making you look bad right now. I meant that Asians are a better choice of spouse then Caucasians. I didn't say either were bad or good, just that I personally prefer one over the other. And no, I don't demand others agree, I'm just stating my opinion.
You're losing it Ape. You have stated numerous times that this bothers you. That you have superiority and identity issues. That Caucasians make you angry, that they offend you when they talk to Asian girls. What the Hell is your problem? I don't blame my problems on any race. That would just be fickle. If I have a problem, I solve it. I don't blame others for sustenance or to make me more at ease. You know, the reason why you all take me out to be like this is because of what I said. I already told you: I'M OVER THAT. If you disbelieve me, you are all retards, because then you're just trying to prove a point off something that might as well be considered deleted at this point.
Congratulations, YOU are an idiot.
