Why did a post 4 months ago turn up today?

Why did a post I made 4 months ago turn up in todays posts under quick links as if it had been posted today?

Happens with posts containing a poll in it.

Even if the person only fills out the pole and does not make a post , it bumps it back up as a new post. Because someone decided to vote on the poll , it was re-activated.
