i don't know why you are so obsessed with vietnamese, but i don't think there is any clear reasons for Vietnamese to incite the hatred among east asians. anyway, chinese, like yourself, should congratulate the new year, like japanese and korean, although I know you have a different date for the New Year's eve.

WOW.... euuuurh people , did everybody forgot that there was 20 000 000 deads in china during WWII... just after the B17 which bombed Tokyo landed in China!! Chinese people refused to hand over the americans to the japanese, this stuff did cost a lot and most of the history books don't tell much about that.
Actually also, somebody up there talked about racism... Japan have a special word GAIJIN )) I was on a japanese forum for a game called "Front Mission 5", and i was there talking with a friendly japanese and the others asked me to leave because a wasn't a japanese... really kind ))
I think Japan is not well seen because of these facts, and it's not only in China...
 
I think that the site is really immature. Whatever country they are from-- how can they teach them such hate and where does it come from. My father still holds a slight annoyance at the Japanese nation for their takeover of Taiwan-- but he doesn't really care. The father of my Korean friend still holds a hatred for the Japanese.

I still think that it's immature for people to teach their kids a hate for a people that hasn't affected that generation.

The site is very disgusting and I am shocked by the "hate" that they show. But the question that comes to mind is whether it is truly hate or something that grew out of a small grudge into a sick joke?

It's probably more than sick jokes, since these sites will need implicit silences from korean government, orgnizational and financial power to keep the web site running. Clearly, korean people should not complain to Vietnamese for spouting hates against them, since it's their business to annoy her neighbors.

I talked with my Mandarin teacher a few months back now about relationships among Chinese and Japanese. He said the Japanese were really bad people in WWII because they slaughtered the Chinese with no mercy without reason. I know little about WWII and I seriously doubt people would try to destroy an entire race without reason. I guess there might be reasons behind this that triggered the Japanese to do this.

Just out of curiosity to the thread starter: I've seen you just create posts asking questions and telling us about how people feel so bad about you and stuff and you never answer to the people who respond to your threads. Why is this?

You know what I hate?, and I'm speaking as a pure blood Chinese. I hate the people who thinks that Chinese is one race, when it's actually made of many different cultures, even ethic.

Because for damn sure, I don't speak the "official language", and I don't live in the Mainland of China. Second of all the communists from the mainland did more crimes to my ansestors, than the japanese did to my ansestors.

i was of Chinese decent as well as my mother and grannies but I don't remember hating the japanese in anyway,. My grandpa is Chinese but he was accounted to love singing in Japanese way before he passed away. And even my grandma said he likes the Japanese more than the Americans despite the fact that she has lived through the war during WWII here in the Philippines. But dunno, filipino-chinese belief is always different from mainland

It was a hell of a job to understand your post, but I think I got it..

First of all, saying the Japanese are nasty people is to far-stretched. You could say the Japanese gouvernment, politics,.. but by saying the Japanese people you also take in account all the civilians who dont have anything to do with the occasions you gave.

I dont know whether your information is objective, as im not into this case at all. But what you said about them steeling ideas from other countries and whatever could be interesting for them, happened all over the world. Personally if I would live in a country during those ages, I wouldnt mind my country to steal ideas from other countries if the economy would get bether of it, and directly my life as civilian. There were barely any allies during that time, any country was seen as enemy and it was crucial to be ahead (or atleast at the same height) with your neighbour countries..

Indeed it may eventually be a problem if Japan keeps on refusing working immigrants because of their declining population. I dont know really how the case is at this very moment though. I can understand why Japan is not eager to accept immigrants. My country has been very easy-going to this case during the 50s-60s, and now we are dealing with lots of crime in the cities because of Northern-Africans (and other nationalities ofcourse) who cant settle down here for some reason and are aggresive towards any race. In most belgian cities, you bether not strawl trough the city by night when you are alone. Its a real shame. Thats why im also interested in Japan, there is barely any crime in the cities. You dont have to worry to get mugged on the streets..

Eventually im convinced they will allow immigrants, when they get aware of the consequences of the population drop. Keep in mind that they are currently dealing with an economy raise (which wasnt the case for more than 10 years after the economy bubble burst), so maybe thats why they are still having doubts.
 
Dear Friends,

What is happened in the past nobody can change it... Our generation have nothing to do with this kind of things. We are both sides not wartime criminals or victims and the only thing we have to keep in mind is that we cannot forget the horrible mistakes we did in the past. We have to learn from the history and thanks to this lesson we should come to the conclusion that the war rapresents the most cruel side of the humanity.

I don't want to hate anyone. It hurts me when I think about those victims who died in the second wolrd war for no reasons, and the simple fact that we are still alive here it means that we should do something for build up a better future so we should not to hate eachother or denied all the incovenient truths.

There are so many beautyfull things we can say about the japanese , Korean or chinese Culture. We have a lot of things in comune eachother, don't forget it.... I don't to hate, I don't want to grow up my children with this kind of bad atmosphere. There is competition beetween these countrys , and I don't denied it, but it doesn't mean we have to hate eachother.

Sorry for my English.. But I can't close my Eyes in fornt of all this!

let he who is without sin, cast the first stone. Unless we live in a country who's past history has no evil deeds, what right do we have to criticize another country. It seems when a country does do something wrong, usually the government or the military are behind it, not all the people who live in that country. If I, as a citizen, am responsible for everything our US government/military has done and is doing now that is evil, I'm in deep do-do. I also believe when the government/establishment/military of your country start telling you to hate another country or it's people they are the ones up to no good.If we all worked at making our own country perfect and worried less about other countrys, we might be ahead of the game.

We don't just have the right to criticize another country for doing something wrong, we almost have the duty to do so (especially when something wrong happened in your own country, just to stop others from repeating your mistake.). It doesn't matter whether or not a country has commited evil deeds in the past or not if it points out evil commited deeds by others. Like it or not even a thief who accuses another thief of wrongdoing has a point. He is of course a great hypocrite but this doesn't make his criticism invalid.
The only question is whether the criticism is valid or not.

I pretty much agree with the rest of your post, though.

I heard things like that already a few times. But I think, that's stupid. I mean, a lot of them hate Japan. It's just the "hate about other countries or nationalities", that's stupid. In every country, there're good, and also bad people. You can't hate someone, for beeing japanese( or whatever). Even if something did happen in the past, like your grandfather was killed by someone, who's german. It's just the one, who has killed him. Not the whole country.

I am just glad that ***** got banned. Doing general accusations just like that is just so naive and idiotic. I personally don't like Mexican politicians at all and I do not make statements about Mexican people this or that. I am not in agreement in what President Bush is doing with the war in Irak thing, and I still have very high respect for the U.S. I just cannot make accusations like that about a general race. Now, if you had a bad experience with a Japanese person, you just say that you don't like that person, but not the whole country.

By the way, I'm a korean residing in the Philippines who've seen lots of Japanese. I don't hate the Japanese people, but I don't like the Japan as a country, for hiding what they have clearly done during WWII.

Meanwhile, in Japan, many Korean are living, but they are hiding their origin, using Japanese name. WHY Koreans are laying low? Are there anything shameful about Korea ?

I agree with Astroboy-san. I don't think the Japanese government is trying to hide what happened during WWII or even before the war. If you feel the Japanese government is trying to hide something, then it must be the Philippine media that is manipulating the truth.
