Where to find body wax in Japan?

Here is a weird as hell question... where do you find hair removing body wax (preferably sugar based of course) in Japan? You know the type you use where you apply the sugar wax, use a strip, and peel.

I've found "tape" in Japan at small drug stores, and Veet as well, but no luck on just plain wax. Tape just isn't quite enough for me to be honest. It would take far too long.

Anyway, I'm not real sure where to look. Thanks for any advice on anything. I guess if I can't find any simple wax I'll look for some sort of "body waxing place" here. I'm always amazed how some things are almost impossible to find in Japan... Although sometimes that is simply due to not knowing where to look on my part.

You'd have to look harder for a place that sells bulk goods for boutiques and salons... (be a gyomu-something)

Waxing is kinda rare - if hair needs to come off its usually either shaving or laser over here.

Order some online and ship it over perhaps?

Just do it yourself. Don't worry it is too easy.
Just heat a little bit of sugar and lemon juice until all melt (don't forget to stir). Then lay it on a surface (e.g marble) leave it to cool for a bit. Then use it.

What ???

REAL men are covered with hair, the more the better! When I was in Japan , they thought I was a gorilla, I had so much body hair.

I my country the only "real men" who use body wax are competition swimmers and bicycle riders (who uses it for their legs). Transvestites are also known to use body wax, but I guess they are not trying to be "real men".

It is very interesting how the trimming and removal of hair have spead around the globe during the last few decades.

Wikipedia: "In many cultures, particularly North American and Western European, it became increasingly common during the 20th century [1] for women to remove some or all of their body hair, due to societal values that consider it unattractive and/or not feminine (see gender role), or as a matter of practicing good hygiene. Women may also remove some or all of their pubic hair for aesthetic or sexual reasons. Porn stars are well known for this practice. Men may also practice this, but not as commonly. In a sexual context, pubic hair removal is done to increase visual exposure of the genitalia and/or facilitate access to the genital area by removing the barrier of hair.

Some women in Western cultures choose not to remove hair from their bodies as an act of defiance against what they believe to be an oppressive ritual."

I have heard that many young men now remove their hair between the legs. I wonder if this is inspired by images on the internet and in videos?
No Japanese ever complained about my hairy chest! Actually, I find that the "hair removal culture" is yet to catch on in Japan - maybe it never will?

Anyway, if you like to read more about hair removal try this link: Hair removal - Wikipedia
I just realized that using sugar for waxing is actually called "sugaring".

Hope you manage to find what you are looking for, if not you have have to resort to use a razor.

As someone who is very hairy the prospect of removing my body hair is a big no-no, the only time I do shave is when my stubble on my chin is a week old, and my wife does have to shave the hairs on my back each week as they irritate the numerous moles scattered down the length of my spine. I think she enjoys getting the tweezers out and plucking some of the long thick hairs out of my skin.........

From his username (as well as OP!) I'd place a small bet that he's a submissive or slave. 😆
My boy shaves all hair. (He still only has to shave twice a week, though, unlike little old me who has to do it every day! )

Holy crap... talk about coming up with one's own stories!

Anyway, it seems that making it make be my only option. I imagine I'll make a big fat mess numerous times till I get it right. However, I'm not sure what I would use for strips. I guess I'll have to find a receipt somewhere on the net I guess.

I'm not looking for full body by the way... mostly just trimming some spots that stand out. I'm not insane... or masochistic.

It's okay - I don't mean to cast any nasturtiums. 😌 If I had money to bet, I would lose, heh? :p
If it's hard to find something, maybe you could ask in a beauty salon what products they use? :?
If you are just trimming some areas, really shaving is not that much of a problem instead. :haihai:

My wife is always threatening to break out the wax. I told her if she could find it, she could wax whatever she wanted from the waste up.

I can get my hands on some peach scented solid boutique wax... which part of Tokyo you in again? 🙂

You going to deliver ;)

I figure datsumo is probably cheap enough now to go w/ that option if I ever got to that point. Unless I'm single again though, I don't think I will ever get there.

Hahaha I did that once, it was a mess, the stuff was everywhere, the heater was covered in it! Of course I had to clean it. Ah well, I ended up baking a lemon cake from the leftovers 😊 (Don't ask why I used a heater :p)

Is the Original Poster a friend of yours by any chance?

Had a look at your price list and I must say it is quite pricy even taking into account the fact you are a "international qulified beauty member" AND "one of the international qualified member in the world!".

They come to you though. That's not too bad, considering you're going to knock off like an hour at least in travel and wait. It would make it much more cost effective if there was a finisher involved.

Meh, who needs wax? Just get a giant industrial size tweezer and pull it all out at once!

In this vain...I'd suggest getting an epilator. My fiancée uses one as it is a) cheaper in the long run vs. wax, and b) it is less messy. Plus she swears that the use of an epilator requires less maintenance than waxing (i.e. she doesn't need to remove hair as often).
