Where should I go I'm New!!!!

Hey everyone...I was searching for which place i want to live when i go to Japan in september and came across this site and signed up...I'm Austin from canada.......i was gonna ask where does everyone think i should go live....I want a place where it will be easy for me to find a english teaching job and has lots of beauty and culture....or just suggest a place and ill look it up!! I am thinking about Kyoto but not sure yet...I will be going to Japan on the SWAP program does anyone know of it? I will have a year visa but I want to try and renew it after ive been in japan for awhile. I can go anywhere in Japan and I want some peoples oponions of where i should go live ?.......Please feel free to msg me and we can talk sometime......anyway i gotta go

I dont think such a place exists.

There arent too many places to find a job thats easy to do, or easy to find, or is easy if you speak english.

Basically, arm yourself with knowledge of what you're getting into, extensively study the culture and language, and get yourself a college education. That should help you in the long run.

You do realize a BA degree is required to teach English in most cases?

Kyoto is nice, so is Nara. But try to stay in a region where they speak pretty much the standard dialect. Regional dialects will drive you insane especially if you're new to Japan.

Thanks for your adivse and welcomes. I really appricate your opinoins and it will be very helpful to me. I do realize in most cases you need a BA to teach english in Japan but I have many good friends and contacts in Japan who say they can get me started with a job. When I go I will have my TESL 100 certificate which is less then a BA but Sufficent to teach english and get a job. However I will only have a one year working Holiday visa so if i want to stay in japan after that what should I do?
Does anyone know about SWAP program it seems like a great oppournuinity for me...what do you guys think about it? Again thanks you for relplys....And i was also wondering.........
