What's the Japanese (language) counterpart for accountability in this regard?

Two Japanese cabinet ministers ツ(whose names I am unable to transmit in an alphabetic formツ)openly proposed yesterday that the Class A war criminals in the what-ye-ma-call-it shrine should not be taken as criminalsツ, utterly denying the far-east military tribunal as one-sidedツ。

Itツ's no surprise to me though, as such radical behavior has always earned such politicians creditツ,which I believe such politicians are better aware of than any one of us here. But I just wonder if the Japanese language has a counterpart for ACCOUNTABILITY of English. (I am personally learning the Japanese language ---hajimemashide!)

Deadhippo, I am not Japanese, and I don't think you are either.
You left an interesting message which reminded me of a long-brewn topic; in an international site where individuals from different nationalities come together, there is bound to be some misunderstanding and unresolved issues.
Furthermore, there are only around 1 Japanese member out of 20 English speakers that voted in the "Where are you from" poll.

When a Japanese member may not have had the chance to reply the way he/she deems apt and relevant to the question, I would assume that for a non-Japanese to answer the question on behalf of a Japanese would be to assist and encourage positive communication. When a question has a twist of sarcasm in it (I'm not sure, but it could be interpreted that way, and I am also assuming that that was indeed the way you perceived it, and that you reponded based on your perception.) how would it help either party to reply with another case of sarcasm ?

What are we learning and reinforcing by adding fuel when in reality a better understanding of both sides of the communication channel is called for ?

There are many levels of sarcasm, and I honestly think this was to generate some genuine thinking if anyone cared enough to look into it. There are great possibilities of deep communication. Not looking at those possiblities can seriously limit the relationship by debasement. Wouldn't you like to help in a positive way out of genuine good will for all mankind ?

the reason for my rhetoric was that i was trying to point out to tony soong that if he posted such antagonistic non-questions he is unlikely to make any friends in Japan
and as i believd his question also to be rhetorical i chose to answer in that fashion

Thanks , deadhippo, you have provided your answer depite the the fact that you tended to view my question as a non-question before so doing.

i hope you will use your newly found knowledge is such a fashion also rather than trying to stir up some more unneccessary antagonism

Antagonism was not initially stirred. It's the aftermath of negligence of human dignity in this present case. Well, the most rational choice is perhaps for us to mind to quench it. But, deadhippo, to quench antagonism may be beyond the means of mere words as in many cases words like ACCOUNTABILITY refers only to something hollow :?

but to initiate antagonism is indeed well within the means of words
and i feel sure that you will use your knowledge and unneccessary predjudices in such a way
but you are to be pitied because you are clearly a very unhappy person

Would you be able to stay happy if you had an annoying neighbor? If yes, how? Thanks in anticipation

your unhappiness more than likely lies within yourself rather than within japan

In fact, Deadhippo, i really don't view all such debates and arguements or even disputes here as something that should go on on personal basis or have much to do with our personal sentiments in itself. What really counts here, i think is gap of information and gap of opinions between concerned parties.

I initially signed into this forum in hope of getting a better understanding of what exactly lies there behind such gaps. But it's a pity that so far what i sense here is widening of these gaps and escelating hostile sentiments (at least on personal basis). Perhaps Japan is born to be hostile with its Asian neighbors, or vice versa, and nobody can be here to tell a better story. In this sense, I now can't but admit that my qestion i raised (not with no sentiments---i admit) for this thread is indeed a non-question.
