Hi, just found this sign in my attic. It is a sign from Japan, but I have no clue what it means. Can anyone read this and translate it? Thanks and all the best, K

I have no clue what it means, but that looks like a quite old piece of wood, wonder if it could be an antique of some sort

I reoriented and uploaded your photo. My (Japanese) wife could not decipher the two kanji characters. Please wait for our specialists.

Probably read right to left, and the first one (far right) is something like 褺. Its a kanji that relates to layers of clothing, so I can only guess that this is a sign for a fabric or possibly a clothes shop.

Or, it could be some variant of 襲, in which case the sign is a name (rather than a sign that describes the type of shop).
No idea what the one on the left is.
Need to wait for the big guns.

My interpretation is 襲侵 or 侵襲, both mean "invasion".
