I had to pick all of the above. It started out as an interest in the history and culture through anime (Inuyasha and the warring states era got me intrigued about their mythos, history, and daily lives), became a forbidden fruit language interest (my high school didn't teach it, so, naturally, I desperately wanted to learn it), and finally just grew into an overall fascination and appreciation for the country and its culture.

Traditional Japan Culture

I like Japan since it is the Land of the Rising Sun and a country with mach traditional old culture.

nowadays, they are more Americanised, but I like the surviving traditional culture and the respect for elders

of course i like all what is japanese, but still i dislike the superficial things about modern japan, like forgetting what japan really is..

If I went to Japan I would 1st want to go to Kyoto rather then Tokyo. It seems more peaceful and spiritual over there. My teacher that lived there for one year said so.

My liking in Japan only began over the past year or so... I admit, it started with watching anime and reading manga. But then I became interested in other things like the language and the food and I now have a basic grasp of the Japanese language but have yet to try sushi, ramen, onigiri or any other Japanese foods... And I have decided that in my gap year before university, I will go to Japan for a year and experience it's different cultures, foods, entertainment and the like for that would be simply awesome

hmmm...I've noticed Japan first when I liked Pokemons XDDD...but that was long ago...then I forgot and in my eighteen or seventeen I found Final fantasy thanks my favourite band. I get the film and I totally fell in love with it. Then I watched some anime series but I have never sticked to it. My passion is j-rock. I would love to study or learn Japanese language and what I like the most is moder culture.
