What are the most commonly used Japanese verbs?

こんいちわみなさん。

i'm wondering what are the most used japanese verbs that you'll be hearing in Japanese movies, Manga/anime or daily conversation?
i'm trying to memorize some verbs. any additional verbs guys? (verbs in kanji would help too. but i have difficulty remembering it though.)

たべる - to eat
のむ - to drink
みる - to watch/see
いく - to go
きく - to write
ねる - to sleep
おきる - to wake up

By far, the most often used verbs would be する、いる and ある.

Can you recognize the ones you already know in any of their conjugated forms? If not, learning that would be a more productive use of your time.

Here are some:
1. 来る：くる： to come
2. 思う：おもう： to think
3. 買う：かう：to buy
4. 住む：すむ： to live
5, 分かる：わかる： to understand
6. ある to have/ to be (location)

as for conjugation, i use the A-negative, I-formal, U-dictionary form, etc.
it makes memorizing easier.

You corrected one mistake. But the second correction tokkyo was refering to is こんにちは. Check this page as to why.

Japanese verb conjugations are very regular, so if you are familiar with how they work it is pretty simple to work backwards and figure out the dictionary form. So you should be able to figure out from listening for yourself what some common verbs are; the ones you hear a lot are common.

Actually, some younger people are starting to use わ at the end of こんにちは, at least colloquially. So it's incorrect from a prescriptive grammar perspective and you wouldn't want to use it in any formal contexts, but amongst (stupid red squiggly line, that IS a word thank you very much) friends, it would likely be acceptable.

Always one for logic. I can't say that I disagree with such great logic though.

Yeah I've seen people write it like that before. I wasn't sure why though, so thanks.
