Want to date Japanese guy advice please

Well, see, we both have opinions. I don't try to intimidate anyone, simply speak up my mind.
I didn't ask anyone to like it or not, nor did I ask anyone to follow my advise.
I am sorry that the way I write may not seem kawaii to you.

Oh, you passed kawaii a long time ago and are now downright adorable. When I see somebody so self-impressed at having been in Japan ten whole years! and who still thinks that figure actually means something I can't help but think of these two guys:

There are several people here who look at somebody propping up his statements by bragging about being here such a short time as that and snicker up their sleeves at how incredibly cute it is.

Length of time here means nothing and is indicative of nothing.

And how do you know what kind of experiences I had while in Japan?
Tell you this short and simple. I heard too many gaijins pissing their pants about Japan this Japan that, and they know **** about the real Japan. They stayed here 2-3 years max, usually did some retareded teachers jobs, dated some J-girls, or spent a few years in the uni, thats all. This is not experiencing Japan. And from what you say I gather you dont know much either. In my case it is not only the extended period of living here, but quite outstanding **** that I went through. According to you, people who have experience should not talk about it as they do not really know. Listyen to yourself man, it makes no sense what you're saying.I may sound harsh, but I dont give a toss. I speak up my mind and this is what i think. Dating Japanese if you are a foreigner is not a good idea for a serious relationship, as I saw too many people with lives in total shambles to "nod vigorously" to your campfire chants.

For the sake of the OP, I only hope that she can come back here after some time, and prove me wrong. I would not say all this I I wished her ill.

I don't know what kind of experiences you have had here in Japan. Neither does anybody else. That is precisely why "I've been here XX years and I say blah-blah" doesn't mean jack squat.

You don't know what kind of experiences I've had here or how long I've been here either. That's why my adding "I've been here XX years and I say blah-blah" would be equally meaningless.

What it boils down to is that propping up one's positions with such meaningless information is nothing more than attempting to shout down the positions of others based on the logical fallacy of appealing to authority. You also extrapolate the limited anecdotal observations you have into general truths, another logical flaw.

So if your opinion has validity based on your 10 years in Japan, then it would stand to reason your opinion is invalidated by a contrary opinion from someone who has been here 20 years...whose opinion would be worth twice what yours is. And the contrary opinion of anyone here 30 years would be worth triple what yours is. I won't tell you how long I've been here, but if you're thinking I'm impressed by 10 years you are grossly mistaken. If you think I haven't also been through some **** you are even more grossly mistaken.

So tell us about the great depth of your Japan experience if you really want to impress us. I sort of get the impression you're an expense-account expat or Eikaiwa teacher living in the typical insulated gaijin bubble and bouncing back and forth for visits home a couple of times a year.

You also seem to be engaging in the very Western gaijinish idea of total fixation on one's own personal and ongoing state of "happiness", which is at least a part of what results in the constant succession of hookups, shack-ups, and multiple marriages and divorces which characterize the stereotypical relationship in the Western world these days. There are lots of Japanese-Gaijin couples who have been married for decades....some of them are on JREF. But you know a few guys married to Japanese women who have something to b*tch about....as though non-mixed couples don't have anything to b*tch about...and from that extrapolate that dating Japanese is not a good idea for foreigners. For a guy who claims to be very well educated you certainly do display some poor reasoning skills.

Trust me, Mike, you are the last person I would try to impress, but to make things more clear to you, I am one of those who did not arrive to Japan with a visa gently handed out to him by a company. I started from 0 and fought my way through the jungle.
So no silver spoon Nova BS, or other large concern who would pay my rent and pat me on the back when I felt like deploding another nuke. Current events of my life are even more exciting, but due to ongoing legal proceedings I cannot tell you more. Perhaps, you will catch it in news one day. I wrote my first message short, as I did not intend it to be my CV. 11 or 30 years is not much differnece, Mike. 2 and 5 years is. And you know it well. After some time little things will seem shocking, and you basically take it as a normal status quo. I didnt say how long i am here to bragg, but to make a point that I am not some shmuck sitting in a wooden shack in Southern Virginia, with a Fuji poster on his wall, and a 神風 bandana, pretending he knows it all.

In regards to marriages. Remember one thing. What people say aloud may differ from what they REALLY think or feel, as there is only few nutcases like me, who will say what they think whatever the consequences. Poeple do not like to talk about failing marriages. I wrote one book about Japan already, and I do not intend to write yet another one here on the forum. If we all were to speak fairly, we would not be able to give any opinion at all. We would be forced to know every single person in the society and then dish out and average score, whch would still be subjective. Again, you guys may give her mellow advises, which are levelled and political. I f.. hate politics hence I say it straight. Anyways, this is the last time I scratched my itching spot and replied to yet another thread "how to Japan", because it alwyas has the same outcome - walls of text about nothing really important or valuable. As you said, I better focus my self-proclaimed educated self on calligraphy, it is way more challanging and less stressful.

Gentlemen, if your aim was to scare away the OP, I'm certain you were successful. Let's please stay on topic and keep the rest private. Thanks.
