YES, they are married (if not, they are a very steady couple with children)....

Speaking of Johnny Depp, I just read the other day that he'll be reprising his comical role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a sequel to "Pirates of the Carribean", and----get this----Keith Richards, yeah, THAT Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones will be Jack's dad in the sequel. Should be a hoot!

Venessa Paradis is not very well-known in the U.S., but Johnny Depp is always one of the most popular actors since 21 Jump Street or something like that... don't really remmeber. He is know as being handsome, cool and wierd (Edward Scissorhands?). And Venessa Paradis, despite having had several French movies released in here, is usally known as Johnny Depp's wife/girlfriend.

Many of my friends are expecting his new move Finding Neverland with Kate Winslet.

I do have to agree with this one. A ring does not prove anything, and that goes for everyone. Love is a spiritual connection, a bond between two people, a ring is just a materialistic thing. It is of no importance. To me, a ring symbolizes a collar, it means someone owns you, you are his belonging and you have it on your finger for all to see it - you are off limit. I see marriage as a prison. But, hey, that's just me =)

Anyhow, Vanessa and Johnny as a couple aren't famous. Vanessa is famous only in France. People in Europe don't even know about her. I saw her concert few years ago - it was on TV, can't remember which French city it was, but there was so many people, which only proves how popular she is back home.

One more thing - Johnny is probably against marriage because his parents divorced when he was a kid, which ended with him cutting himself every once and a while, plus his first marriage didn't last. So, who knows. The point is, marriage isn't necessary when two people are in love. Besides, when love dies (and eventually it will), all they have to do is part ways - no divorce, no courts or anything. Vanessa and him have kids, so they will always be connected, no matter what.
