Didn't read the manga.. and I watched the 1st season thinking it was going to be like trinity blood.. turns out it needed a bit more patience and brain power (yes, trinity blood's required you to put your brain somewhere else when watching but i enjoyed it). I sensed strong, but subtle desire/motivation in the main characters - being not so straight forward is both good (mysterious, hoping for revelation) and bad (tired of speculating).. typical of shoujo manga I guess... I like rima (blonde pony tail vamp), but she didn't get much air time... hope she didn't get killed in s2.
I got a bit too busy with other anime this season, so I had season 2 episodes on backlogging list (along with 1100 other episodes in my backlog playlist /(_ _ )\)
How is it?
(i'm more of a marmalade boy/marimite person when it comes to shoujo i guess)
