User survey: time for revamp

I was thinking about spicing up the logo, but my graphical design skills are pretty poor, lol. While the white space is prevalent in screen resolutions of 1024x768 and higher, it is hardly noticeable at 800x600 (which at least 50% of our visitors are still using).

logo looks good to me, nice and clean
please don't make no mascot though, i used to visit another site where the mascot was just a stylized version of the owner bleh
that is truly gassed imo

i liked the katakana up there. was thinking you could just do that again, maybe starting under the "P" and going out. i dont know how that will look on a 800x600 though...

Guys, I need your opinion on the DHTML menu on top of the page: at the moment the menus drop down if you move your mouse over the menu fields which could be bothering when trying to click browser buttons. Should I change the onMouseOver event to onClick? Thus, the top menus would only drop down when you click them. What do you think?

The "move your mouse over the menu" are fine to me. It's actually a good idea.

oh i just noticed the gallery is still using the old format, also clicking on the japan forum logo gives me an error.

Thanks Jeisan! Anyhow, I'm *planning* to move the forum (including the gallery) and the entire directory to our new domain this weekend. There will be plenty of minor issues, but I hope to accomplish the transfer by the beginning of next week.

Shorter than that. Unfortunately, not japan.com/net/org, still shorter, lol.

Close, yet a bit shorter. I personally don't like .tv domains, apart from the fact that they're expensive. Also, what will happen to them once Tuvalu sinks?

japan.info looks vacant... there are .info domains right?
