Anyone here who is waiting for MEXT Uni Recommendation results? I applied to Osaka University (Handai) and was selected for recommendation to the MEXT. I was just informally informed that I was selected when I asked the department staff for updates.. I just wonder if there is anyone here on the same boat... Guess I will have to wait until July for the results if it follows the situation last year.

Hi there, I also got accepted to Osaka University. I applied to the G30 Biochemistry program. The school also said that their nominees in the past were all selected.Hi foruiz. On the same boat as you are. Just received notification from the university I applied to (GRIPS) that I have been nominated for MEXT. It's still a long wait (why is July taking so long?) and I'm not sure if it is fine to ask the Admissions Office about my chances. Seems like other universities share more information about the applicants' standing based on what I've read on this thread.

I have no experience and I am still in my home country. I thought people from MEXT would talk to me in interview but it looks like professors from my approved university will talk to me.

My interview is today 8 hours later. I hope it will turn out well. Assistant of the professors said that the professors are conducting the interview in order to write me a recommendation letter to the MEXT.
Interview date was earlier than I was expecting. And, I am all nervous now. But, it is fine since they chose me for the MEXT.
