University Nomination - MEXT Scholarship

Hello All,

I has just send back the pledge to my prospective university.
This pledge is required as a terms & consition agreement for your MEXT scholarship.

In my case, this letter should be sent before 2 August 2013. Otherwise the committee will revoked my scholarship.

Don't forget to submit yours! Good luck

Already sent it, and also a form for my plane ticket in september. They will send it back to me in the days to come.

I've sent mine too. Also the pledge and some documents.
I have to arrive at 9 September.

Hi Epiyo,

I've sent my flight request, too, and I also requested to travel on 30 Sept, and arrive on Oct 1. I will depart from Soekarno-hatta int airport, with JAL. We may on the same plane by then I would be very happy to meet you on the plane.. heheheh

Which university are you going to? I enroll on Titech.

What a surprise that we will on the same flight schedule. I am still waiting for the flight confirmation from Kobe University
I will let you know once I have received the flight itinerary.

Have you apply for the college student visa in the embassy?
I was visited the embassy on the last Monday. They told me that they have not received the scholar list from MEXT. Hence I should wait for further notice from the embassy regarding my visa application. Are you guys facing the same situation like mine?

Actually me too, still waiting for further notification of the flight schedule.

About visa, I haven't applied it yet. Admission office from Titech suggest me to always contact them (embassy) first before I go there to process visa. They also suggested to apply visa after July 17, so it's slightly worried me that embassy hasn't had our data yet T.T

By the end of August, or maybe mid August, I'll contact embassy. By then, I hope everything's going well.

I've contact the embassy last week and they said that they have receive the scholar list.

Well me too. I haven't ask my professor about that either.

But according to these posts above us (ex: #382 ), the final result might come around beginner of May?

Ohh that would be cool to get the result by May 1 it would be a very long wait if it's in June

Hey how's your Japanese? Altnough I've learned some during my undergrad and also took the JLPT, are they gonna teach us the Japanese language in the first months? Or not? :?

I am also took a JLPT during my undergrad.
Are you apply for Japanese program or English program?
But I am pretty sure that they have many difference level of Japanese classes for you to enroll there.

I'm actually not sure if my program is Japanese or English haha. But I think it's in japanese... Howell

Hi guys

There are several thing I want to ask
1. Is it too late to apply now for MEXT 2015? I intend to send email to professors on next week, when I get all of my 5 Letter of Recommendation
2. Do we have to send only 1 or we can many to get his attention? I am working already and has 3 years experience in big company, I impress quite many people so its not so hard to earn their credit. The down side is my GPA which is 2.3/4 >_< do not know if I have any chance to cover the GPA with my experience and skill?

P/S: I am so in love with Japan thats why I really want to apply for it

They have very detailed and practical advices on how to apply for MEXT (University and Embassy routes)
If you still have any further questions, best to ask there! The ppl who operate this website are very experienced and should give you a much more satisfactory answer.

I am kind of "seating on a fire" because I do not know when is deadline for MEXT Application over university. SOme said yes and some said no
