Hi I hav been living in Sendai Japan for a little more than a year now studying japanese, and around x-mas Im gonna start applying for universitys here, witch means that Im gonna have to take the university entrance exame. For what Im gonna study I need to take english, japanese, math, physiscs and chemistry. I need to review my old math, physiscs and chemestry befor the test and all the books here that cover japanese highschool level in thease subjects are writen in japanese. So what Im wondering is does anyone know any good books in english that is at about the same level, so I can order it online or something like that.

Would you not be better off studying from the Japanese books? Maths, Physics and Chemistry are simple enough in Japanese with you only needing to learn some basic terms related to each.

since I'm taking the English version of the test, and allot of this is stuff i never studied in high school I would prefer the explanations in ether English or Swedish. Then to add to the problem my kanji level isn't quite high enough to study it.
If i can get high enough in these 3 subjects and descent at the Japanese part I can get into 横浜市立大学 or even 東北国立大学, since these 2 (among others) handle foreigners separately and take in a certain percentage of foreigners every year.
I have a rather easy time with these 3 subjects so It should be possible to learn it till then.

I would still suggest getting the books even if you don't understand a single bit of English, just to see whats there. Like I said, at the very least those 3 are considered "universal".

If you are taking English versions of these tests it would be best to ask the people who organise the exams to see if they know any English source materials. But being Japan, where they speak Japanese, and 99.5% of the exam takers are native Japanese speakers, I can't see there being a large number of resources around.

Ewok85: I guess your right, I should probably get the Japanese books see what they contain then order a book in English about the same thing. Thanks for your input and idea :)

diceke: Thanks for the great link, I only had a old test from 4 years ago :)

I'm guessing that its not so common for westerners to do their bachelor in japan, since my school is mostly Chinese people majority of their preparation material is made for them :/
