Hello,

I've been away for a while, but I'm back now (at least for now)

I have a question, I have been looking for the word "Boring", like in 'That cat spends his day sleeping, she's really boring'
I think I would need つまらん for that, am I right?

and what is the difference between つまらん and つまらぬ?

退屈(だ/している) is more appropriate.

つまらん is the n-euphonic change of つまらぬ. つまらぬ sounds more classical.

Thank you

In what kind of situation would つまらん be appropriate?

The person who feels つまらん/つまらない/つまんない must be the speaker, as same as many other emotions.
