I think the difference between verbs "considered (to be prevalent)" and "thought (to be prevalent)" is very subtle, so either of the two would do, perhaps?
Yeah I thought considered as well. In English I think to consider means more time is spent thinking and contemplating. And influenza is a serious topic.
