OK, here's the story. I recently stumbled upon some emails that my fiancee has been hiding from me. She is in Japan now, and I am in the US, and we have been apart for quite awhile. I have a great deal of faith in her, so I don't believe she's ever cheated on me. It's just driving me crazy wondering why she was hiding this guy from me. There are quite a few emails, but I just have about 4 short ones that I would like help with, just to put my mind at ease. Probably about 12 sentences. Unfortunately my Japanese just isn't up to the task. Anyone who is able and interested in helping me out, please PM me! (This is simply because I would like to keep it as private a matter as possible.) I would be very grateful. Thank you!

If this is the how much you trust her and if this the the sort of thing you feel you have to do to check up on her....you'd be a fool to marry her.

Thanks bakaKanadajin. I've tried other online translators, but they haven't worked too well. I'll try that one.

@mike: Unfortunately you're probably right.

edit: Hey, I checked it out and that is really neat site. Thanks!
Haha. apparently I don't know how to edit posts. Sorry.

Are you talking about the sentences already posted here ? :confused: Because although they aren't necessarily about another guy, I'm not sure it's stuff you want to hear here first.

So basically I don't mind doing a translation. At the same time, I completely agree with the above advice. You guys definetely need better communication that doesn't force her feelings into a backdoor email in a language the other doesn't fully understand. :eek:

My pleasure. It is a really good site because it encourages learners of Japanese to do as much as possible and you only need to run your cursor over the kanji if you REALLY don't get it. It's not even really translation it's more like a built-in dictionary. I wish books somehow came like this, even the furigana is hard to ignore sometimes.

:D :D

Oh the rikai site looks great. Thanks for sharing. And I also agree with others to the original poster that if you are having communication problems to just have faith and be blunt and ask for honesty. Definitley work it out before you get married. Even though you could always divorce I wouldn't want to go through that emotional pain and heartbreak when you get close with someone and all. GOOD LUCK!
