TiTech IGP Questions

I had the interview on the 8th. It lasted for 28 minutes.

The questions were strange. For example: Did you do it by yourself? How much was your robot? Which subject did you like in your undergraduate course? Only one question testing knowledge.
The questions were strange because the professors wanted to check how you can tackle the questions. It is a good sign. In my case, they asked about my undergraduate study, my current master's thesis, research plan, about 5-6 questions from statistics and many more.

What I understood after discussing with many students who are currently studying at TiTech, the selection is quite competitive. However, reading all the previous threads I understood that more or less everyone got selected.
Yeah, I noticed majority of the people in this thread got selected for the MEXT scholarship.. which means there should be some hope for us to get the scholarship:unsure:

They said that the result will be announced in mid-march, didn't they?

By the way, are you applying for another scholarship at the same time? For me, it is the Yoneyama Rotary scholarship.

Well, based on the previous applicants in this thread, they got the unofficial notification from their supervisors around early/mid February.. hence why we are thinking to ask our supervisors about it😅

Nope, I didn't apply for other scholarships (applied for OIST but I failed their document screening process😢)

Not yet... I am waiting for this result... If Tokyo Tech recommends for the scholarship then it is fine otherwise I have to look for other scholarships...

Yes unofficial result by the professor comes on the first or second week of Feb... That is why I am getting more anxious now....

I've just asked my professor (can't wait) and he told me that I have been included in the list of recommended applicants for MEXT. Yet he could not guarantee.

I think you could start asking your professor. Have a nice day and good luck

It means that you're already confirmed to get the scholarship.. congratulations!🎉

@Ironspider
I just contacted my supervisor a few hours ago and he just replied that "It is still in the evaluation process. I hope that we can get the results in the end of Feb."

I hope it's not bad news for me..

You are selected for the scholarship then... Congratulations...

I am really getting scared now... My Professor is not replying....

It's graduation thesis submission and viva season here in Japan. I think in this period of time, replies from professors will be a little bit late. Even though the dates are different from school to school, final submission dates are around late January to mid February for Thesis, including Bachelors and Masters.

Okay... Thank you for the information...

It's already mid-February now but I've yet to receive any news from my supervisor or the university..

Feel like my future is grim now:cry:

@Nhat Luong have you received any official news from the university regarding the selection result?

@Ironspider have you received any unofficial result from your supervisor yet?
