I found a word that supposedly means "To put on a hat"
It is かぶる and I would write the kanji for it, but for some reason the kanji for it won't show up on my computer but it will show up on my cell phone...
And I checked Weblio, but I can't seem to find what I am looking for.
So, do I simply use this word by saying:

Hat/Some Type of Headwear + Wo + Kaburu

Or would Kakeru simply be used far more. Kaburu just doesn't seem like a very common word to me.
Thanks again for your knowledge!

帽子をかぶる - wear a hat (often written without the kanji, but it's 被る)
帽子をかける - hang a hat on something (like a hook)

This かぶる means more broadly "to cover".

ETA: never mind, Toritoribe got there first.
