Find either a computer gig that allows you to work from anywhere with computer access, or learn how to day trade.

You mainly need to make enough money to survive, not so much that you need to actually find a job here. Plus it's less stress.

A good thing about japan for me is the time difference with the states.
I can actually get more work done due to most people are a sleep allowing less distractions.

Coming from a fool his statements are untrue

Mike$,
I am well busy here.Just got back from Nagoya, pal.
Mike, you are one peculiar fella.
I can sense you're rage on your post.
Truth be told, I'm glad you wrote what you did.
I really have to disagree with your recent claims.
Why is it then when a teacher comes to Japan with no contract he has big trouble finding work.Being a working professional is all about getting your foot in the door here.It is not easy.
I know that there are more than a few hundred out there looking.
NOW.Most use all their resources when on the hunt for employent.
Mike you have no idea what you are talking about, fella. All your vocabulary is one sided and just untrue.Anyone who is smart and not a genius, as yourself will after carefully researched, find that what I said is true
Mike, are you having a bad day?.
I am constantly asked for help in obtaining work and I have no answer,it is up to the individual. All work is in Tokyo and Nagoya at the time.
Mike you fail here.I think I pressed some of your buttons?.You seem to think jobs are flying from the air here.Across Japan?.
Mike you exaggerate at the truth.
I have lived here for two years and have seen and heard it all from other's.
Teachers are frustrated at getting nothing here.
Perhaps you are working and trying to make things happen.
Most leave after a few months.Cultural diffrences and unable to secure employent to survive in the most expensive country in the world.
My wallet is always stuffed and I ain't bragging.
YOU are the first to go against this.
If you are going to post on a board about work get with the facts,Jack.
A-You need a contract from your home country.
B-You need to speak survival Japanese to get around as you'll be lost.
C-There is only one kind of job here.Teaching English mainly.
D-Check it out for yourselfpeople if you don't believe me?.
''I've never spent a single day unemployed or "between jobs" in Japan."
Mike,
Sounds like a genuine fantasy🙂
Mike this country is for Japanese only.Yes,there is work for a select few who make it through the door. Most Japanese are unable to find work as well.
People here are not grabbing teachers on the sidewalks😌
Perhaps in 1982.That is as accurate as the sunshine on a Hawaii isle.
Many will not find employment as a painter or plumber by trade, but your attempts to secure employment will be better at working for NOVA as a teacher.
Before you set foot in Japan, make sure you have a plan for the time you are here.Coming here with no job is not going to be a easy task.
Does the existence of seemingly good jobs exsist in Japan.
Yes,but the salaries have took a dive from what they we're 10 years ago.
If you are university educated, and carry enough certificates to fill a drawer, you have a good chance at obtaining work.
Mike is ineffective.
I am telling the truth, telling the truth makes someone feel bad, lying can be good. Good things can come from telling the brutal truth.
Keep the focus on education and being the best you can be and you can succeed.Aeon,GEOS are good starting points at getting work in Japan.
Finding other places to work is well in one word tough.
Most English teachers head directly to the big city of Tokyo.
Mike you have little comprehension on the matter.
Mike you have just shown me a demonstration of your negative personality.
I just tried to illustrate a point with words that spoke the brutal truth.
The most fearful thing that ever happened to a teacher is unemployment.Unfortunately it has not happened to me as I set out a plan a decade ago.I remained focus on determination.
Yes,I am unfathomably gorgeous in the morning and late at night.
yukio_michael,how are you?🍾 ☔
You seem to be a fella with absolutely little to say.

I really loved the skilled way you wrote to me

yukio_michael,
Pittsburgh, Penn. is not Japan.
I am living the language 24/7.
I am working and breathing here for a lifetime.
I bet you like SEGA and that Japanese gambling game called Pachinko?.
Yukio_micheal,ever been to Nagoya or Osaka?.
I do recommend you take the Marunouchi line next time you are in Tokyo.
I have an errosion of confidence in you now.☝

You might think differently once you have a few beers

Perhaps you two guys could work in the latest Hard Rock Cafe in Narita-San.😌
Well, it employs people like yourself.
In the kitchen.
Japanese is still required.
It opens sometime soon.
Happy Endings,guys.🙂

If you speak the same way you write, the paucity of job offerings coming your way should come as no surprise.

Electric Japan,

Are you a robot or something? Sega's hasn't released a system in years, and you say "that Pachinko game" as if it's some rare thing. I realize it must be hard to find jobs when you're living under a rock in Northern Hokkaido.

stay happy

SEGA is a company that is still active across Japan.
SEGA is still in the game.
No,I am not a bland tin robot. Those went out in the 1950's.
I am not in Hokkaido.
Try Eastern Japan.Blow'n in the wind.
Sapporo is popular in August.
Nicest weather.
Peace and harmony is nestled in that prefecture.

If I gaze at you will I see your fun smile?

Mister Cash,
I am working.
Thanks for your output.
I bet your spending more cash than your making in Japan.
Keep tossing those golden coins,Mister Cash.
If I were you I would try cooling off those flames.
I am living the dreams I have always dreamt of.
Over here,nearby the ocean shore.
Bye-bye.
🙂

Have you ever had a coherent thought in your life?

Electric Japan, you are a nutter. And a rude one at that.

Mike,
Sounds like a genuine fantasy
Are you accusing Mike of being a liar?
He doesn't say it's the same for everyone, only talking of his own experience.

Some of your points do actually make sense:
Coming here with no job is not going to be a easy task.
Does the existence of seemingly good jobs exsist in Japan.
Yes,but the salaries have took a dive from what they we're 10 years ago.
People might listen to you if you would stop bashing other people and just say something constructive. :cautious:

Yes,I am unfathomably gorgeous in the morning and late at night.
I have no idea how this is relevant, but nevertheless I had to quote it because it's amusing.
Me too, honey; me too........ 😏

Looking at Electric Japan's posts, it's no wonder why he has problems with finding work in Japan...

Behind the keyboard, I feel your rage

Ahem,
Please repeat after me kiddies.
This is a forum.
Not a classroom.
What is with the hostile fire?.
I want to know why some of you are uniquely qualified to write perfect posts?.
I have had decades of experiance as a writer.
Guess what people.
Today's lesson.
Typos and imperfect sentence structures are part and parcel to all emails and posts written on-the-fly in the tiny gaps between one's real work/career.
Get used to it,folks.
I understand waiting for the break of day may be tough where you are.
Time to clean the stains in your life.
If you got a whopping big ego, don't show it to me 👍

I think I can safely say I speak for many others when I say that we are shocked and amazed to see you actually had a sentence that wrapped at the end of a line. Normally all your posts are comprised entirely of short sentences, one per line, and entirely disjointed and nearly incomprehensible.

Lit fuses

Mike,
Read my post above and learn.
I can't justify a perfect post.
Time to open that chu hi can.😊
Keep anticipating.

Boo Hoo!

I am here permanently.
Hate to shatter your perfect moment but I own a school.🙂
See you after class.

In my eyes I am reading a lot of negative energy here.
Muttered words that I never grip to my life.

Anger generates anger.
Anger left me decades ago.
Love never fades away in Japan.
Remember that.

We'd just like coherent thoughts, rather than blank verse poetry is all.

Mike,
Sounds like your asking for a war of words.
I'm so board with people who live this kind of life.
Ridiculous schemes unimaginable to drag people down.

May your cloud vanish soon.
You know darn well what you are doing here.

Bye bye.

Of course I know darned well what I am doing here. What sort of idiot would I have to be to not know?

From what I am reading you are a truck driver?.
I am sure you have extensive experience, Mister Cash.
I wish you happiness throughout this chosen career.
I don't mean no disrespect,I was just speaking the truth.
Walls are hard to penetrate here on any chosen career path.
Alive and well I am.

Talk to you someday.

I Love To Feel Loved

Oh,the insane ride of living in the Gozen mountains, locating golden nuggets.Extraordinary bright and expensive to any Japanese miner.

Most of you were probably wondering where I was for the longest days.
I crogenically froze myself for personal reasons.
Let me explain to you and you and you.
My expectations have always been exceeded living in Japanland.
I can never be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, I have established myself as a frozen hermit, over the summertime as a fugitive.
Watching the sunrise tomorrow morning shall me a marvelous moment.
I'll be twirling like a spiral as I am now part cyborg.☝
More later.
Love.
EJ

Actually, I had entirely forgotten you ever existed and would have been perfectly content to go on that way.

Mike san

MIKE,
Good Evening wise one.I hope you have made plenty of cash in the several weeks I have been away from here.
MIKE,
May you always reign supreme in your own mind in Japanland.
The sun shall rise from the bottom of the sea, in the morning hours of dawn.
With that rising comes a new day for you to practice ballet.

My dear friend you are sooooo,so wrong

Electric Japan,
Are you a robot or something? Sega's hasn't released a system in years, and you say "that Pachinko game" as if it's some rare thing. I realize it must be hard to find jobs when you're living under a rock in Northern Hokkaido.
Please get lost in Shibuya and see the truth to your madness.
My reinforcements here in the alps have sent me this explicit picture of rightousness. It is actually an exclusive taken just for you.
Perhaps you and I can go darting out together.
I know,I know,I know in only naked closeness can we both know ourselves better.
Let's streak!
