The secret behind blood types in Japanese culture

Ok, this is something that's been confusing me for a while now....whenever i read a Jrocker's profile, it's certain to list their blood type. Now, i had no problem with that (although it felt a little strange initially....it's not something you're likely to find on western musician's profiles) but eventually i've realised that blood types seem to have certain connotations that come with them.

For example, in a Gazette interview i recently read, the members were describing Aoi or Uruha (can't remember which ) as a typical A-type person. I took this to mean 'A blood type' person...and then they mentioned someone else was a very 'O-type' person, and i'm sitting there thinking, what the hell does that mean???

So does anyone have any idea what connotations blood types hold? Is it something like horoscopes? Or was it just Gazette being weird?

Japanese people LOVE to talk about their blood types.

I don't believe in this blood type theory, which many Japanese people belive in, at all.
I hate it when people start talking about this:auch: Grrrrrrrrr!

BTW, a Japanese interviwer asked the blood types of my favourite British band some years ago, and obviously they found it weird
Their answers were like "green", "red", etc...

I've read news articles,there are peculiar Japanese apply the theory of blood types in finding suitable mate(s) whatnot.

I've been told by a few Chinese friends,Japanese typically are " O " blood type because they're more patient and take longer view on many perspectives.

Again,just hearsays nothing concrete.
