It was a really good movie...I'm not religious but I believe in God, and Jesus being sent as a sacrifice...it's just heart breaking to see someone so sincere being put through torture and still having an open and loving heart to the people who hated him...it's almost like, if he were to be let down from the cross before he died, he would have still treated everyone with affection...although..dang they really did beat him up...I thought he was going to die before he even made it to the hill top...holy crap! he had like no skin left : / I think it was good this movie was made...shows the crusification in a new light..probably more true to how it really was than any other movie. I also really liked how Satan was depicted, and how hell looked, that was really visual!!

First of all why the h*** do they call it The Passion OF the christ. I mean it was the christ like the my mom made me fried mozta this morning. It's a terrible gramaticle error. Also I am Jewish and will not see this movie because I belive it is Anti-Semitist having heard all about it from a Christan fanatic who in earlier years told me I was going to go to h*** because I am jewish. So thats my opinion

What is it with people like that?! That's terrible. Personally, I don't believe references to heaven and hell were ever meant to be taken literally, but I can never get over someone actually judging another person and condemning them based on those beliefs! Talk about self-righteous, not to mention clueless!! I'm so sorry you had to endure that.

Im sorry you had to endure such things... I think no one has the right to judge other people just because they don't worship the way you do...

I heard from a television interview of a man on the street that if you are already anti-Semitic at the start this movie will perhaps push you to hate the Jews even more and if that if you are religious then this movie will inspire you... Alas! I havent seen the movie yet since it will open here tomorrow after that then perhaps I can give a definite opinion...

Hmm,passion of the christ...a good educational movie for the youngs to under stand a history of the past...but too gross for the young ones...overall a good show...

The crafting of the movie cannot be faulted. I thought that it was basically an exploited film though. It seemed too out of context - the film used a needle focus just on his death. Being brought up catholic, I knew the manner of his death, but i also know of his life. This movie is a bit evil in its depiction of his death.

I think it had to be done like that only because people are so ignorant these days. Mel probably wanted to really drill the idea of the pain and sacarifice.

I have no use or love for religion, so I never bothered seeing Passion. However, I just read in my local paper that despite the movie's incredible box office numbers and popularity (depending on which side of the pew you sit on), it wasn't nominated for the Oscar for best picture because----get this----it wasn't in English. Sounds kinda dopey if you ask me.

they have weird rules for the oscars like you are not nominated if your character dies or some crap like that. bleh dumb rules for nominating
