The death of a JREF member - YIMIJA.

I'm sorry to say I was contacted today by a lawyer who handles the estate of Yimaja. We had been E-Mailing each other since 2004 and her lawyer contacted everyone in her E-Mail address book. I have no details of her death, her last log-in on JREF was Sept. 3rd and my last E-Mail from her was in August. I have asked her lawyer to inform me of more details, but have no idea if they will contact me again? The law firm was located in Geneva, where she lived, so I believe she is indeed passed away. She was out of the country often as part of her job with the UN, which made her posts on JREF limited. I'm sure those of us who knew her here will miss her, I know I will very much.

I get an E-Mail saying Yimija passed away, but it shows someone logged into her account on December 3rd? I did give the law firm this website, but they must be clever to figure out her password to log on with? I guess they could have used her E-Mail address to ask for a new password?
Maybe her ghost missed JREF so much , she logged back on from the great beyond? All very confusing!

Heard a "little" more today.

It turns out the lawyer from the Geneva law firm handling Yimija's estate had to go out of town for 3 weeks and just returned to see my E-Mail to him. It seems the UN in Geneva either knows little or refuses to tell details of it's employees? All anyone has been able to find out was Yimija was killed in a small plane crash in the area of Tibet or India. No exact date or info on who was on the plane or where it was going when it crashed. She did work in that area helping tsunami victims. I guess she died doing her job , which was very inportant to her.

It was her lawyer who logged onto JREF. He wanted to contact anyone who had sent her private messages. I guess he never got any more details, at least none he passed on.
