I came across this new Japan blog through Metafilter and it's well worth a look:

The Cynical Traveller Goes To...

The Mount Fuji post is especially good. Very funny.

It is connected to a world travel site by the same guy, which is equally good and has a Japan section:

you would know about wasting your time, remember when you was young and you thought you could make your own comic and it took you ages to realise you couldn't.
