Tekken or Virtua Fighters?

thats not true!?!?! :confused: U know how to block right--and then theres reversals if pulled off in the right momment...for example...king will literally take you down to ground and break your arm or something. And bryan!!!! He dose a quick two-piece[ two hit combo ] he dose.

awwww this game is really good if you like tekken:p
 
Well, what I mean is, that some people have a move that you can't do anything about. Like super fast kicks when you are getting up from the ground. Read my first post in this thread, and it'll explain better. As I said before, once you get the opponent down, it is a ground kicking contest. You can't attack when on the ground, and you always have to get up, and can't attack right away leaving you vulnerable. I beat the game by doing a basic punch to my opponents, because they don't fall, and it pushes them backward. If anyone uses this, then you won't have a chance.

This one punch you speak of can be king can reverse it. i know i've seen it.It just depends on timing. and sidestepping. though a little harder now (sidestepping) the game is still GOOD!

all i know is that when i play it im frustrated becuase the charactors dont react in time so after about 5 mins i switch back to soul calibur II
 
i use the girls a lot my favs are talim and taki, though i do like xianghua and ivy and mina and mitsurugi and yoshimitsu and kilik and and and lol i fight as charade alot :)
 
Out of the two I like tekken cuz they have cool characters. DOA is ok they have beautiful backgrounds though and of course the boobs. I have yet to play soul caliber but I heard its awesome. The fighting game I love to play is Capcom vs SNK.

yeah soul cailbur is really good, prolly my favorite fighting game.
 
yea why not I chill with my guy friends and tell them who I think is hot or not. My fave fighting characters are chun li, christie from tekken, and Mai from fatal fury.

SWEETNESS!!! boobs are great so again i say SWEETNESS. Christie is cool but i'm staying firm with EDdy!! i'm unbeatable in that game...capcom vs. snk is good too.
 
take it from me, the Tekken 4 official Canadian Champion. You can't win in tekken 4 by abusing the same moves over and over.

I love watching VF and Tekken fans go at it!
My two cents:
First, VF is SUPER popular in Japan. Tekken 4 was pretty damn well recieved in the arcades here too, but VF wins. Back in the states, I'd say Tekken 4 wins.

Everytime I've heard the Tekken people argue with VF people the sh*t really flies! Isn't it great? :)

Which game is better?
- stupid question.
Arguements are all subjective, and different people will like a game for the same reason others hate it. For Example: I've heard that Tekken is much easier to learn how to play; anyone can get good quickly. VF4, on the other hand, is supposedly much harder to learn. Which would you prefer?
 
hmm...soul calibur 2 is up there with tekken 4 but vf....

I dunno it's bad enough I have to press guard just to block....now they have ring outs too...pfftttt

VF is too slow paced...and the character movements are blocky compared to the fluid movements of tekken 4 and soul calibur 2.
 
fluidity=solid combo moves that are reasonable to make and not hard to perform.

An example on ratings on Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter 4.
On a scale from 1-10, 1 meaning horrible, 10 meaning greatest game ever made; EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) rated Virtua Fighter 4: 10, 9.5, and 10.
Tekken 4 was rated: 5.5, 6, and a 5. I think the issue # is 133, or 134. Can't remember. But I wrote the ratings down on a sheet of paper I'm looking at. And EGM is a highly credible magazine that even has a show on video games on CNN news station. So sorry if this is getting personal, but MY opinion is VF. :p You think what you think, I'll think what I'll think!:)
 
EGM isnt reliable. The people that write it for EGM don't know jack. I'd rather pay attention to famitsu magasine (japanese) because they actually have more taste.

EGM is like american comics, they suck....compared to manga. What EGM writes is meaningless. Their opinion has no weight to it. All they are good at are telling consumers what's new and what to try playing....useless.
