Tea Ceremony in Tokyo

Hi,

I will be in Tokyo next week and I would like to see a traditional tea ceremony , not a good one, a very good one since I am really interrested in it. I found some hotels that offer it on Google, but I prefer to get your advice.

My suggestion is: buy tea and drink it alone in Your hotel room.

I participated that strange ritual in Ueno park in Tokyo: alot of bling-bling and bla-bla, very uncomfotrable; and ... what is most important: tea is so-so, I would say horrible. Just go to tea shop, buy loose leaf gyokuro tea from Uji, thermometer and timer - that is all what You need.

Ceremony is for people who like ceremony, who does not care about taste of tea ... I think that tea here could be substitued by vodka or cultured buttermilk with the same effect.

Of course, I culd be not right, just 2C

As I wrote before, I admitted once. Sorry, I did not watch Your video, because it looks similar the ceremony
I went once, may be different in details. It is just another boring show for tourists which has ceremony
and does not have tea. That's why I suggested to brew and drink tea in hotel.

Very interesting story how I did get to that ceremony: I asked my japanese friends to accompany me, and I did
receive the same suggestion about tea and thermometer. All their arguments were like: boring, for gaijins only,
fake, bogus performance, etc. So, I went to ceremony alone
