2. For MEXT Scholarship for Research Student
Tests and How to Pass Them
There will be two tests, Japanese and English Test.

Monbukagakusho Scholarship for Postgraduate!!
If you would like to skip the posts, they are at the beginning of the thread, and around June-August 2008. For interview, the posts are at July-September 2008.
How much money you will get?
You will receive 170,000 yen per month for the first year and 160,000 yen per month for the subsequent years if you are postgraduate student of MEXT (Monbukagakusho Scholarship) I am not sure how much for undergraduate students.
How much would be needed?
The stipents given by MEXT should be quite sufficient to cover your living there. For the information on daily spending, I suppose you can refer to the JASSO website. They are providing many informations on that. Please go to the link I told you earlier.

I searched for some informations and I knew many things
